Omg these two
"autocaptions are good enough they're like 99% accurate" so true dnp are always saying shit like this /s
to be very clear, this is not what they said! THIS is what they said:
P: No, not "adieu"!
D: I like to kick off every single Wordle with "adieu".
dan and phil primarily use received pronunciation (RP) which is standard british english. words that have "dew" in them are not pronounced /du/ (aka doo) like in american english, but pronounced like /dʒu/ (aka jew) (the word "do" is pronounced /du/ the same as in american english, so the words "do" and "dew" are differentiable in RP), so any time dnp say "due", "dew", "adieu", or anything else with that sound, autocaptions comes up with something antisemitic.
autocaptions do not account for dialect and accent variations!
maybe when disabled people tell you what kind of accommodations they need your response shouldn't be "can't you just [shitty alternative]?" and should be "ok how can i help make this happen?"
“we play it at the same time” “every morning, it’s part of our routine”
did the phordle and figured out the answer after two tries but then spent longer than i’d like to admit trying to spell it
