Rhin accepted to this “testing” with ease. Though he's never one to openly tease, that was the closest he was going to get to doing it. Honestly you were lucky to not catch him during his rut.

As soon as you both had free time the testing begun and with such great restraint he sits next to you on the couch, trying to take note of his physical changes from 20 kisses.

His eyes avoiding yours, his back relaxing more into the couch as his body goes delightfully limp yet alert. He may understand tiggy.

Speaking of Tiggy, he was eager the second the word "kiss" left your mouth.

"Of course snack! Why didn't you ask me sooner, let's do this thing!!"

So eager and by only the second kiss he was begging for more. Things got heated and forgotten by the sixth kiss because he had initiated after you said, "You must be getting tired of th-" Not even getting to finish your sentence.

Stryker was interested in your test. Of course he'd indulge his queen in whatever they desired, though this fascination was on the same level as yours. Was there such thing as a kiss proof lipstick?

"You'd think after the invention of such an object they would have made it so that it wouldn't have to be reapplied."

"True but, remember the greed of humans, before you lot came along we were still using money as a form of goods for services."

There's a small grunt from him as he takes your little hand mirror after you're done reapplying another brand and looking at the markings you left.

"In placement of our new system, would it be fair and comfortable for you to-"

"Yes. Raw. Next question?"

You had to convince Oscar but only a little. As a classic brat and tsundere he had to make it as if he was doing you a great service.

"Sure bug, a god can take on anything. Especially some stupid kisses from a little human."

However by the third kiss he was a puddle in his bed.

"Man... I really wanted this black to be lipstick proof but, looks like i got a try ano-"

You look over to him and chuckle, gosh he looked so cute right now.

This task was more so a waterproof and kiss lasting test. After all Phorus didn't want to accidentally shock you, so in Oscar's pool you both are.

He still had great restraint but by the tenth kiss and so much teasing of avoiding his lips, he pulled you right in.

"Too much?" He asks seeing you hold you fingers to your lips after breaking such a passionate kiss.

"Never too much." You smile up at him, holding on more comfortably due to the kisses distracting from your water aversion.

Luminar and Stryker

luminar is around humans the most, so i think he knows what's going on

therefore if stryker's inane desire to keep you safe is "chain them on the bed" luminar immediately stops it and explains why

mind you, i don't think stryker in his right mind would... but i am saying it is damn near his go to solution especially since he has first hand experienced poseidon's blessing on mc

anyway, luminar does the proper first aid, and has stryker time and observe

for stryker he'd like an explanation from you, but if you don't wanna talk about it or explain he can respect and accept it

luminar would have the basics, but not specifics if you get what i mean

Phorus and Oscar

phorus... is urging oscar to stay calm and in keeping the otter god calm he's having him set a timer and walking him through moving you to a bed and laying you on your side

of course oscar is a bit freaked, but not to the point of not acting or confusion.

like os isn't dumb, neither is phorus. but as far as humans it's minimum interaction and they rarely leave the palace so... better odds than neb so they probably know

the details? not necessary. they're just gonna make sure you're safe, comfy and probably whisper and stress about if you're gonna be okay to each other while watching

come to? yeah oscar is very glad, phorus is already off to get necessities and while oscar explains what happened he also cuts you off saying "if you don't wanna tell us bug, you ain't gotta. just know we're here if it happens again."

PHORUS DOING HAIR CARE WITH BLACK MC!!

summary: detangling, washing, drying, hell even doing the hairstyles... he just would, i mean he does os' hair so why wouldn't he do mine mc's? oh and oscar is here, bc ofc that gremlin brat is.

notes: i think phorus likes easy hairstyles but will do difficult ones. just for his flower so... outside of this self indulgent ficlet? jumbo box braids, bantu knots, corn rows, some style that's braided to the scalp. difficult/pretty ones? boho/mermaid braids, braids with charms in them, jaded braids.

Phorus starts at the bottom of your curls and works his way to the root, and the more you jerk from him thoroughly brushing at the scalp he's happy you decided to get in the pool.

"Can you tell me why, you waited so long to do your hair?"

He's greeted with defiant silence.

"Can you tell me why it's so hard to detangle?"

"Because I took down my bullshit twists, because I didn't properly part my hair, and by the time I took it down it was growing like wild fire again."

He hums in response and moves on to the next section he needed to comb out before moving out of “Oscar's pool” (Os' words not his) and washing it.

You sat down by the tub, fully clothed and head laid back, he used the shower head to rise out the shampoo and then the conditioner he had lathered in. Your tiny smile and relaxed shoulders gave him a sense of peace. You looked cute.

Beautiful curls shining through as your hair was given TLC. The way your brown eyes looked up at him and you smile more.

"Thanks Pho, you made this so much easier."

"No problem."

You stick out your tongue at him as he hands you a towel to rest on your shoulders, he was so nonchalant and smooth sometimes.

As for the drying process, him using electricity wasn't necessarily a grand idea so you both settled on a common and easier method. Hair dryer. Especially since you wanted him to braid it and luckily you were the proud owner of a hair drying brush.

It was a little bit easier to comb through any previous tangles, thanks to him detangling again in the tub while washing it. When Oscar spots him in your room, he joins in after scaring the shit out of you from hanging around on the ceiling and finally dropping down.

"You looked up this time! Getting better bug!"

Oscar became your very much needed distraction as Phorus proceeded to give you jumbo box braids.

Bickering like siblings, playing video games, holding actual conversations about hair types and sharing human culture when the sea otter god was interested.

Before you knew it, you hair was done and looking in the mirror you smile before turning to hug and thank Phorus who hugs you back and smiles at you.

"Always a pleasure, flower."
