“hey bortz! dia said ya were up here what’s-” phos paused as they opened their door, finding the disheveled raven in a giant blanket and pillow pile on their wooden floor. only thing they could see was their intense glare and hair from above it, but one thing stood out was their smell and...oh.

“...so that’s why dia didn’t want me to come up here.” they stated, chuckling as bortz growled. “get...the fuck out or get...your ass in here.”

“oh~? gonna let me top this time~?” they teased as bortz growled louder, making them close the door. “okay! okay, don’t worry anyways i’m on suppressents.” they shrugged to them, walking over and entering the fort-esque pile, finding inside it more jellyfish and puppy plushies. taking one of each. “nesting for our children bortz-y~?”

“tempted to kick you out myself.” they grumbled as phos chuckled. “i’m joking...kinda, i mean being parents of animals sounds fun!” they nodded lightly as they curled into the blanket they put around themself, face warm and curled their body up. “hate...this.”

“yeah, it sucks.”

“stupid suppressers barely work.”

“well i mean, there’s the strong type but they make ya sleepy.”

“which i hate more. especially during this my dreams become...intoxicating.” they grumbled as phos nodded. “still...cruel fate...having me go through this.”

“eh? not fate.” phos chuckled. “your still the same, just have something that happens once a couple months.”

“...good point.” they mumbled. “you never became a dick of an alpha for starters.”

phos chuckled as they stayed on the floor, gaining the raven’s gaze. “what?” they asked with a threatening tone that they laughed off. “your hugs are nice bortz-y!”

“it’s not-...whatever!” they exclaimed gripping them tighter as phos laughed. “well, why though?”

Terrible First Meeting Starters

“You’re not going to eat me, are you?”

as the boat slowly slid to a stop gold gloved hands picked up the goggles around their neck, a bob bluenette looked around the water. they heard a song phos thought, something was here, calling out a song of cheese ramen; their favorite type of ramen.

looking around they noticed a rock nearby. looking through the goggles they could see it...moving? on it they found a nearly pitch black figure on it, having scales? on itself and long hair? they couldn’t tell what it was, what they could tell was the pitch black of it’s eyes before seeing it dip into the ocean.

“...wha-”

immediately the boat shook leading them to hold onto the ledge tight before seeing the black webbed hand on the right side of the boat. shrieking phos moved to the left as the water spilled in, the creature emerging onto it as phos immediately dipped themself into the ocean.

holding their breath they tried to swim, only to feel something wrap around their leg. gasping into the ocean they held their mouth closed feeling the oxygen now having it’s own timeslot. as they were pulled closer they kicked whatever was holding them enough to wiggle out, swimming back onto the boat panting.

quickly they picked up the oar on the left side. waiting patiently as the water was silent...until the hand came back. as phos readied the oar to swing the boat jerked, leading their last vision to be the wooden oar’s end getting closer to their face and stars.

slowly opening their eyes phos put a hand to them to shade from the sun glaring down on them, feeling cold and...slimy? looking down they found the scaly creature tracing it’s webbed fingers on their scarred chest, their open up white shirt open entirely to them.

blushing lightly they asked “so, your not going to eat me, are you?” almost feeling embarrassed by a question. those dark orbs looked up in confusion and shook their head. “bleck no. i just wanted you to come over here.” it stated as phos was taken aback.

“....you can talk?”

“duh?”

“...well why didn’t you just SAY something!?” phos snapped as they sat up more, fixing their shirt. “geez ya scared me back there!”

“my sibling said that humans like surprises.”

“your sib needs some help if they think that surprise is good.”

“truly. i thought they meant surprises like hunting.”

“...okay nevermind you also need help on what a good surprise is.” phos sighed as they looked over the creature, scaly and a dark black, fleshy-esque skin in the mold of hair was so long it reached to the waist, which was connected to a long tail with a webbed portion at the end of it.

“...so...wwhat do you want from me?” they asked, watching as this anomaly crawled closer to them. they screeched as it lunged-...opening their eyes phos found they had been silenced into a kiss. slowly it pulled away, leaving the bluenette more flustered and confused.

“i...shall make my life long goal to protect you.” they stated firmly. before phos could ask it jumped back into the ocean. they waited, only being met by the ocean waves gently moving.

“...wait, i only got one oar...HOW AM I GONNA GET BACK?!” they shrieked, only to yelp at the water exploding out an oar onto their boat’s floor.

“...oh...thank you cute siren mer-person thing!” they stated as they picked it up, looking to find a word written on it; ‘bort’.

“oh...thanks bort!” they exclaimed as they rowed away.
