What Went Well/Didn’t Go Well (DOOH)
As always I will reflect on my projects with a break down of what I feel towards the project and the results and what I would do differently if I had another chance of doing the same project.
Details: The little details in the final composition I feel really brings the whole thing together and the things such as the fake computer program and the ‘Mundi Salutem’ logo add a degree of authenticity to it all.
Concept Of The Show: The overall concept of the show I feel quite proud of and the plot lines of the 3 protagonists would be interesting to me as their own shows.
Exploration Of Different Forms Of Photo Films: Being able to explore basic animation with the corridor shot, combining stills and full motion video in the shadowy shot and parallax in the car park shot really allowed me to explore different forms of photo films and opened my eyes to a new dimension which I could use in later personal works.
Teamwork: This for me is kind of the big one. I will take partial responsibility in this but during the meetings I was the one who came up with pretty much all the concepts and characters, I also booked the models and done all the editing.
The Collection: Whilst the overall collection is mostly pretty good the combination of full motion video, parallax and basic animation posters without the title and the redaction would seem more all over the place than the series stands.
Two Of The Posters: I am quite happy with the look of 4/6 of the posters but 2 of the posters (the hand and the laptop redaction) just simply don’t look good.
What I Would Do Differently
Partner Selection: In future I will asks about more rather than just going with a friend and try to base my future partner selection on previous track records rather than how long I get along with them. It may be ruthless but at the end of the day it’s the results that matter.
Stick To One Type Of Photo Film: Whilst playing around with different varieties of photo film was a fun thing to do the final result was all over the place so sticking to a single form of photo film be it basic animation or parallax would help create a more cohesive collection.
