Happy Valentines Everyone!

And to celebrate I drew some of the few romantic relationships among my oc’s!

(if ya’ll want to ask questions I would be fucking ecstatic)

First off, the OC OTP Xera and Shore. These two are obviously my favorite couple. As I developed Xera’s story my plans for them switched from “just friends” to “one-sided crush” to “fuck it I’m getting them together.” Since then I’ve done my best to balance out their relationship but mostly I’ve just been having fun with them. They’re just fucking wholesome and fun to imagine interactions between.

Jan and Ami (aka TOO MANY ARMS WHAT DO I DO WITH THEM ALL) I didn’t expect to ship, they just kinda got out of hand and now I can’t go back. They’ve got an interesting relationship to explore though and it’s kinda a weird thing to be but I’m a huge fan of this ship now. It’s like my own personal slow-burn couple.

Okay, these two are an oooooold pairing from when I had more or less just come up with Phurs (hence the rather silly names) (King Phirstivus is the shorter one btw). They started as just your standard fantasy King and Queen but as they’ve appeared in more stories I wanted to tweak their relationship to be more appealing while retaining some of the ideas I had as a kid.

And last out of the ones I had time to draw, is Rral and Eon’t. They popped into being as an established couple (looking for their third) and with them popped a whole bunch of social norms I got to create for this alien society. So they were fun that way, but also I just really like their story and having them already in an established relationship made for one of the more heartwarming endings I’ve made.

That’s all for now. I have a few more romantic and platonic oc relationships i kinda wanted to get to, but I’ll be done for now.

If nothing else, Xera is supportive of her friends fashion choices.

I’ve had this little comic in my head for a while now. I just wanted to show what one of Xera’s interactions with her friends might be like. I also wanted to try drawing a little example of what phur cities might look like.  It didn’t turn out as well as I envisioned it but hey, finished not perfect.

OC Doodles

Oh boy another crew! The dragon might look familiar from this post I made a while back and the others are the squad I mentioned there.

(I still don’t have names for everyone, because I’m bad at name)

We have (wip name: Sunset Gal) the rough-looking aspiring actress. At this point she travels from town to town as more of a herald in the hopes of finding a troupe or theater that will accept her. Her scarred appearance comes from taking blows for her more fragile companions if ever a fight breaks out, mostly because she is abysmal at actually fighting back.

Bridgette the eternally supportive fluff. Nearly blind and of a stunted size, Bridgette has learned to accept the assistance of others and found contentment in being around friends. She would love to see her friends become as content as she is, and is always rooting for them to reach their respective goals.

(wip name: Snow) the sharpest of accountants. As the middle child in a family of foxen, (wip name: Snow) feels she must create something big to stand out and make her life worthwhile. She see’s promise in (wip name: Neko)’s maps as a way for her to achieve her goal.

(wip name: Neko) the forgetful cartographer. (wip name: Neko) often wandered through the nearby woods to avoid strangers and acquaintances (both of whom she was painfully shy around) and got lost due to her extreme forgetfulness. She made detailed maps out of necessity so she’d always find her way home.

(wip name: Pen Pancelot) the ever-“patient” bard. More of a tag-along than anything, (wip name: Pen) follows the other four in the hopes of convincing (wip name: Sunset Gal) to form a troupe with him.

And General Corona the Lady of War and eventual antagonist of this particular story + her most faithful of drakes. She’s conquered a huge chunk of the northern part of the continent where the above crew stumbles into her warpath.

Imma probably make some more art for them later, so consider this an introduction for now.

Some pipecleaner doodles from the past month.

There’s Bari the demigod, Slipwitch, and a papillion inspired by @foufuret‘s cute drawing.

So Bari is the child of Wyvern, the god of defenses and protection. They have the ability to create completely impenetrable barriers in a variety of shape that they learn can actually be useful offensively as well as defensively. They popped into being alongside eight other demigods to combat an invasion of eldritch gods to make up for the inability of their parent god’s to fight. Because they are essentially a fully grown infant, they are highly impressionable and even as they grow older and more experienced they have a hard time voicing their own opinions.

Slipwitch is actually the nickname given to Grippo the Mask witch by Jan. Grippo is from an era where any witch not affiliated with the church is hunted down during their Trial period and killed. The stress of being constantly on the run caused her to lose control of her new powers and “fall.” Except with a small push from what is known as the Goddess’s blessing, she was able to cut off her wild powers by donning the mask she wears now and regain control. As a result she is permanently in the somewhat monstrous form seen above and can no longer switch masks. When Jan heard about this she called it a “slip” rather than a “fall” and gave her the nickname.

Holy carp it feels like it’s been forever since I’ve done digital art. So here’s a bunch of warm up doodles of several of my characters to get back into the swing of things.
