26/Aug/2017 Dad got me this beautiful physallis (Chinese lantern), it caught my eye some days ago. It's so cute!
Early autumn outfit with matching insect-themed kimono and obi.
The obi has mushi gyôretsu (insect procession, mimicking old-timey daimyo-gyoretsu), while the kimono shows crickets in dewy grass.
I love the opened hozuki (ground cherry/physalis) obidome!
Hozuki (physallis/ground cherry) tights by Curiosite.
Shop also have in stock this pretty skirt with red spider lillies lining:
Lively modern obi by Iroca, with beautiful orange+purple gradation, and very graphic hozuki (physallis/ground cherry) and gecko (?)
I am not sure if those animals are newt (imori) or gecko (yamori), but as physallis are linked to Obon festival (=lantern of the dead), I like to think this cute little guy is an imori yokai ;)
Beautiful hozuki (physalis) shaped hairpin, for sale here
