Drop In || Raguna & Tori

[✿] — With everything that had gone on recently, Raguna’s life had been pretty hectic. If he wasn’t busy on his farm, then he was caught up with the flood of work at the guild, taking part in explorations to search for any further threats to the islands, as well as helping out in the reconstruction efforts after the recent fires.

One such place that had gotten burnt down was the home that his friends Russell and Tori shared. Thankfully, the rebuilding process had gone pretty smoothly, and when he finds himself stepping up to their doorstep with a basket of eggs, milk and freshly grown crops in tow, he was hard pressed to believe that the place had even gotten destroyed at all--- it looked practically untouched.

The carpenters did an amazing job.

Smiling at the sight, he gives the door a few quick raps as he waits for someone to answer. Hopefully at least one of them were home...

•｡ ❀ 𝒫age after page, the written language entailed in the ancient piece of literature offered either little or vague answers. She rested against the trunk of the willow tree, engulfed in the safety of the shadows where he would certainly not discover her if he cared enough to seek her presence; besides, according to her allotted schedule, she should have been vigilant at the Dragon King Shrine. With her gratitude to her superior in bidding her farewell earlier, the vampire craved this crucial slice of time as an opportunity to search for the endless answers that would clarify the turbulence that encompassed her past; alas, at that moment, it seemed it would be fatal. 

𝒰ntil, one of the pages seamlessly ripped from the novel and floated away in the wind - through the vines enclosing the young woman.

“𝒩o!” Quickly, she closed the book and chased after the escapee filtering through the intricacies of the leaves - falling into rhythm with the breeze that gracefully rustled through the grass. In the midst of her pursuit, she was careless and collided with an innocent civilian in her path - causing her to collapse onto the dirt. “-- Ah! Are you... okay?”

Like A Sister || Raguna & Tori

[✿] — To Tori’s residence, Raguna sends a box of Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars from Mon Cherry, along with two bottles of Buffamoo milk from his own farm. Of course, a small note is attached to the package.

Merry Christmas, Tori!

This isn’t quite pudding, but I hope these cheesecake bars are to your taste all the same! The head baker at Mon Cherry is pretty top notch, so I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. I’m sure they’ll taste great with the milk, too!

Happy Holidays! We should definitely hang out again sometime.

Take a Break - Ayame and Tori

Any time Ayame had time for a break was a day she considered a good day. Some days the clinic was simply too chaotic for it, but on this particular day, things were quiet, and she took advantage of this fact and decided to go out. 

Since she had returned from her trip, she hadn’t had much time to catch up with people, but she was doing her best to reconnect with everyone. Today, she hoped that she was right about Tori being at her library job on Leuda, since she had been meaning to check up on her. Of course, she had seen her at the Harvest Festival, looking quite radiant, but hadn’t wanted to bother her when she had looked to be enjoying herself so much. 

As she entered Tori’s work place, it took her mere moments to spot the young woman and she waved a hand in greeting, a bright smile on her face. She had been a friend of Russell’s for many many years, and as such, had watched Tori blossom into the kind, intelligent young woman she was. To Ayame, it was important that she keep her relationship with Tori, as she had come to care for her just as she did about Russ and Ceci. 

“Tori!” she called out to her as she approached the front desk, “How are you doing, sweetie? I’m sorry to drop in unannounced, but I was wondering if you might like to grab tea or lunch with me today. Do you have a break coming up?”

If she had to come back later, she would definitely find time, but it would be convenient if their breaks happened to match up.

Flower Festival: Tori, Cecilia & Russell

[✿] — Since Tori was working over in Leuda, Cecilia was out, and Raguna wasn’t too keen on disturbing workaholic Russell during work for just one little flower, he stops by their place and leaves three flowers: a sunflower each for Tori and Cecilia, for continued friendship and bright days, and a blue lisianthus for Russell, a token of appreciation for everything the man’s done for him over the years.

And along with that, a note:

Hey guys! 

Sorry I couldn’t give this personally, but we’re all busy folks with conflicting schedules, so I just had to make do with what I could.

These flowers probably aren’t much, but know that I appreciate having you in my life, and I’m grateful for your friendship, support, and everything else you’ve given me ever since I got here. We may not be related by blood, but I still like to think that we’re family.

Literary Relations || Tori & Iris

As their last patrons filed out of the building, Iris let out a pleased sigh and glanced around the place. She knew she needed to go around and collect the forgotten books, but her familial duty was outweighing that which she held to the library. Tori had been an absolute wreck the past few days, though she tried her best not to show it. Iris admired her for holding out, but she couldn’t stand not being able to comfort her adorable cousin.

Spotting Tori behind the counter, she walked over and leaned on her elbows. Her eyes scanned the younger girl’s face and a small pout formed on her lips. Why hadn’t she asked her about the situation sooner?

“Tori, dear, I feel like you haven’t told me something important. I can tell something’s bothering you, and I simply can’t stand not knowing! How can your cousin help? I’d do absolutely anything for you, doll, you know that.” Her tone was thick with sympathy and worry; her family was the most important thing to her, and she didn’t know what she would do if she couldn’t protect them.

To the Library!||Paolo and Tori

The library, besides the beach of course, was one of the places in Leuda that Paolo frequented the most.

He had a ravenous appetite for books, reading them from front to back cover in a matter of days rather than weeks, or even hours, as was the case when Paolo wanted a book from the library. He didn’t  have a library card so he’d have to stay in the building all day to read.

That was going to change today, though. He was a grown up kid, and grown up kid’s had their own library cards. It was just one of those small things.

Paolo walked with a purpose through the streets of Leuda until he made it to the library, pushing the door open and approaching the counter. As the counter was just as tall as him, coming up to his nose, he could not see over it at the woman at the desk, and had to stand on his tip-toes in order to speak to her.

“Excuse me, miss?”
