Although she had decided to reside on Arcadia for the time-being due to its history of magic and wealth of places to explore, Lily was also intrigued by Leuda. The Underground City was a particular place of interest, as well as the famed Leuda Mines. She couldn’t imagine what treasures might be hiding down there... So, she decided to split her exploring between the two islands to make sure she discovered all she could about them before her inevitable departure.
On one of her days off work, she boarded the boat to Leuda, planning to spend her whole day there. She hadn’t had the chance to purchase any mining tools yet, so her plan of action was to visit Epsilla and see if there was anything of interest down there.
However, as she stepped off the boat, she noticed that similarly to Arcadia, Leuda’s Explorer’s Guild was right next to the port. There was a man working on something just outside. As she was about to turn away, the man turned towards her, revealing his face, and she did a double take. Was that...? No, surely not. But... It was!
Her plans forgotten, she walked over to the man, confirming his identity in her head as she neared.
“Klaus?” she called when she was close enough. “Is that you?”
[ ♥ ] — While she might not have been able to purchase a date of her own at the Auction, Felicity was pleasantly surprised to see that the person who won a date with her seemed to be a rather classy and suave gentleman. In fact, the very same gentleman she and Sherry chatted with a bit during the event.
It was a relief to know she had gotten someone decent, and the waitress could feel her anticipation building as they both step off the ferry from Leuda, having just arrived on the neighboring shores of Arcadia. Felicity didn’t visit it much aside from a few work assignments, so she was excited to see what the island had to offer in the entertainment scene.
She and Klaus had agreed to go see a show at the local theatre, and then finish off the evening with a delicious dinner at Brie and Beaujolais. If Felicity was being honest, she was more excited for the food than anything... but she was sure the show would be enjoyable, as well!
With a quaint smile, she looks over to Klaus, “Shall we head off?”
Ibuki didn’t expect to run into anyone from his earlier years of life in Arcadia. After all, in comparison to where he used to live...This was kind of out in the sticks. His family friends sure as hell wouldn’t be here, given that fact. And he was somewhat relieved by it. He’d never been particularly fond of them anyways.
But, as he wandered back towards his apartment after work, he stumbled upon a somewhat imposing figure in remarkably neat clothing. It took a bit of squinting, considering the drastic fashion change, but he knew that hair and deeply buried existential despair weighing down on those wide shoulders anywhere!
✧ Oooh, the founding celebration is as amazing as ever this year! So many booths to inspect, so many things to check out, and he has a good amount of money on him to actually pick things out, this time! Granted, with the opportunity to buy things comes the indecisiveness as to what exactly to buy.
✧ So he just follows his nose.
✧ He beams at the vendor, inspecting his wares for a moment. All of them look so lovely (this entire booth looks lovely!)... So he’ll point (and be very careful as to not touch) one of the surprise perfumes, tone pleasant. “Is it alright if I purchase one of these? I wouldn’t want to take something that’s been... reserved, or something.”
It was rare when Violet went out to the cafe. She usually wanted to save her money up, considering she had been digging into her savings to pay rent. But she was feeling anxious lately, and didn't feel like cooking up lunch in her apartment. She had a small sandwich on her plate, along with a sm...
Outside the clinic, if you look by the door– you would find a little lavender bag filled with ornate tissue paper and a bouquet filled callas and daises. Inside the bag, there is a perfume bottle of remarkable colors, a few books, and a note attached. You quickly learn its from Klaus.
“ Dearest Violet,
I do hope that you are keeping yourself warm on this fine holiday, for you are awfully kind and I’d hate for you to ever catch a cold. May you enjoy these books I’ve sent you– they are mostly poetry, but a friend of mine recommended them and I thought you might just enjoy it.
The bottle of perfume is something I conjured up myself, trying to replicate a scent that could possibly suit someone as lovely as you. As you may tell, the scent is a bit more on the floral side– as I recall our conversations back at the ball– you’ve mentioned daisies were your favorite. But the smell really isn’t over empowered really, I tried to keep it sweet. Like you.
Do tell me next time what you think of it, if there is any problems or suggestions— I’d be more than willing to try to make it better for you because you deserve only the best, Violet.
May the new year be the start of a new beginning for your next chapter in life, and that if you ever are in need of company sometime– I’d would love to have you stop by for some tea.
Merry Christmas,
Santa Klaus ”
There was a bag outside the clinic door.
Violet wasn’t sure why it was sitting there. Did someone set it down and accidentally leave it? Was it a gift for a patient? If it was a gift, then why wasn’t it brought inside? She had only seen it by chance while she was walking outside to check on the newly planted flowers (nothing had survived the blizzard, but there was still plenty of time left in the winter season). Violet picked it up, her expression melting into pure surprise when she saw it was something for her. Another present? Violet honestly hadn’t expected anything at all! This was too much for just her!
She walked into the clinic, sitting down on a bed in the back room to look through the bag. The bouquet was another surprise, making her turn a light shade of pink as she realized what the flowers meant. Daisies and Callas...the masquerade. She looked through the books as she pulled them out, getting at least an idea of what each of them contained. Poetry books?
Finally, there was a perfume bottle in it and a note. Violet looked curiously at the bottle and sprayed a little on her. She really liked the floral scent! It was light and sweet, being subtle enough for her tastes. She unfolded the note and read it over.
Wait...all of this was from Klaus? He was being entirely too nice to her. All of this was too much for just her. Still, she smiled, reading the note again and looking around at the gifts. She was definitely happy, but some part of her couldn’t help but prick at the back of her mind, wondering if this was some sort of mistake.
Her eyes glanced over the crossed out word at the bottom.
In the mail, Klaus will find a small box with the following inside:
3 Snowdrop Flowers
6 Gingerbread Cookies
A Set of Pressed Flower Bookmarks
A Note from Violet
Dear Klaus,
Merry Christmas! Whatever you’re doing, I hope that you’re having an amazing day!
I made you some bookmarks! I thought you could use some, with all the reading you do. They’re all flowers I grew over the year. I learned how to press flowers a while ago...but these are my first attempts. I hope that they look nice enough. I keep seeing the mistakes I made in them...but maybe you can still appreciate them.
Violet
P.S. I didn’t grow the Snowdrops. All of mine didn’t make it through the blizzard. I hope you still like them!
The search for the source of the mysterious disappearances goes on for most of the day, to the point where it seems like the voyage was a failure. However, just as the sun begins to set on the horizon, fog spreads on the waters. From the thick fog, the mast of a ship breaks through. Despite torn sails and molding wood riddled with barnacles, it sails at a steady pace right towards the voyager’s ship. From the voyager’s boat, they would see ethereal and ghastly monsters inhabiting the ship.
As soon as the group decides to either run away or charge the ghost ship, a thick fog falls over the boat like magic, making it hard to someone to even see a foot in front of them. When the fog lifts, only two voyagers remain. Half of the group has been spirited away to the ghost ship, and it’s a race against time to get them back before it disappears again.
That’s right! On this mission, the group will be split in half. Choose as a group who will be split together! We recommend just splitting up the Chatzy RPs after the group is separated into two chats until you convene again as a group, but do whatever you feel will work best. One group will be outside of the ship to rescue those captured, and the other group will be working to escape from the inside. Afterwards, it’s up to you to stop this ghost ship once and for all!
> Stop the Ghost Ship
Group One will find themselves trapped inside of a makeshift jail-cell in the interior of the ship. While the cell itself is rusted away like the rest of the ship and it would be easy for anyone with a physical class to break the locks, it might be a bad idea. There are a ton of spirit monsters on the ship, determined to take you away for some reason or another. So if you just break out without waiting for an opportune moment, you might grab the attention of a ton of monsters!
If Group One does manage to escape calmly, they’ll discover a small, worn diary owned by one of the fishermen that went missing. Apparently, the ship has been kidnapping voyagers for the sole purpose of ridding the sea of humans. Monsters wish to rule the ocean, not humans! Looks like this ship needs to be taken care of for good.
Group Two will have to quickly sail over to the ghost ship and board the ship from the outside. There will be archers stationed around trying to take care of you before you reach the ship, but try to avoid them on the way up. The ship is large, so scaling it from the bottom might be tough. Maybe you can make use of the barnacles or the gaps in the wood?
If Group Two scales the ship and boards, they’ll find a plethora of monsters and a boss monster stationed at the wheel. It might be a good idea to join up with Group One before going after the boss monster. There are some doors leading to the bottom, so maybe they’re down there?
Once someone decides to fight the boss monster, they’ll be faced with the Skeletal Captain.
The Skeletal Captain is the former spirit of a pirate captain embodied into a monster form. He will be skilled in swordplay and be pretty intelligent about his moves, so be wary!
When the Skeletal Captain is defeated, the Ghost Ship will fade away in oblivion, and the group will find themselves floating on the sea not too far from their boat. Congratulations on defeating the Ghost Ship! Sail back to the Explorer’s Guild for your reward!
