What struck me most when I visited this hamlet – so tiny that Instagram doesn't recognise it as a location in its own right – was the brown shutters, an architectural feature that you will find in other historic villages like Roccaverano, Mombaldone and Olmo Gentile, and the red brick roofs. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: Unsurprisingly, there are no bus services in and around Piantivello.
