From @stephanieboydworks - Omg. If only it were this fast in real life. The base is sitting on a slightly curved mold that I made a few weeks ago. It'll give a nice swoop to the bottom. The sides are thrown on the wheel. Essentially a bowl without a bottom. I'll now let this piece dry for a while and firm up, then I'll take it off the mold for the finally clean up before firing.
