Title: The last boyfriend

Carlos thinks he is cursed. There is no other way to explain it.

For the past decade, he has been in various relationships. All loving, all good, but all ending at some point.

That's not the problem. Relationships end. That's life. The reason why Carlos thinks he is cursed is because his exes seem to find The One just after their relationship ended. When they broke up with Max, he received a year later an invitation to his and Daniel's wedding. When they broke up with Alex, Alex got together with George (George and Carlos being colleagues, they had met through him, the irony!) and he has had their wedding invitation on his coffee table for a month. When they broke up with Charles, Charles went back to Pierre and they had a shotgun spur of the moment wedding no one was invited to, though he got a card announcing the news. Seriously, what is wrong with him?

So when Carlos meets Alex's childhood friend Lando at the former's wedding reception, he doesn't think much of it. He knows the pattern already.

Charles opens the door right as Pierre lifts his head, knees digging on the damp grass, and his wolf settles. - Charles leaves home to run from a future he didn't know he had, but he's back after 8 years and navigating his new life might be less simple than he thought it would.
