Drabble Challenge; Day 9- Move

Note: I skipped yesterday, so a double for today. And shameless promotional drabble of Titanic Horse.

My blurred vision could hardly focus on my guardian. Poor Piav with a sword through the tail at his neck to keep him in place. Unable to help me anymore than shouting orders. Vita, you imbecile. Do not get up! Stay down and he will leave us.

I stared blankly at him. Stay down. That would mean he leaves us without killing me. That means he would be off to destroy another life. What kind of Guardian would I be if I didn't stop him here?

I laid still and waited. Waited for him to come closer and whisper something. Waited for him to think he won.

He did just that after a moment. And in that moment, he was trapped in a transparent wing by the neck.

I took the chance to stand up and smile down at him. I ignored the screams of pain coming from my midsection and kept the wing in place, tightening ever so slightly. “Any other little tricks I should know about, Thom? Or are we done here?”
