Literally so annoyed. I feel like all of voltron was about pidge and her problems. She's resolved her main conflict. so WHY when I finally break and go to google about the new season is the first thing I read abour PIDGE?

I mean even in anime tropes when a main character that had a singular focus has finished their trope, has resolved their conflict its time to move on to another character. HUNK? LANCE? anyone?

no i like pidge as a character, but shes just. god shes everywhere ok. every single season has at least one arc or episode dedicated fully to her. dreamworks says pidge will be taking a backseat during a season, but then literally every minor scene, moment or any plot twist revolves around her. there are so many scenes that were given to her that could have been better focused and more well received by the other characters (LANCE AND HUNK FOR INSTANCE) that would have actually given some character development, and imo they were just.. wasted on pidge bc shes already been developed far and focused on so much that even when vld tries to make me feel bad for her i just. dont. i can only think about how that couldve furthered lance’s arc or highlighted his insecurites (bc they keep reducing him down to the stupid character or the flirty character and that has so many problems im sick of it) or made hunk’s arc more prominent and important, and make him seem like a valued character (and ik voltron is giving him more scenes lately but fuck compare that to all of pidges scenes throughout this thing and the fact that hes still reduced to food jokes and it kinda sucks.) also i dont like how all her problems were allowed to come first, and how shes allowed to insult the rest of the team, and her actions dont have consequences when other character’s do, yknow. and hey one of her arcs (i hate that her arcs go for so long too like remember when voltron said hunk already had his arc but it was literally just that one balmera episode. anyway) was so focused on her family and it went for so long and it was sooo important to the show, only for her family to be in like 2 episode before immediately leaving. where the fuck even is matt he just disappeared i guess.

anyway tl;dr sorry i ranted, pidge is a cool character and all but shes focused on and favoured so much, with everything made about her all the time, that i dont care any more and i want her to stop, take the back seat, and for some of the other characters to be more focused on and have more scenes and arcs about them rather than her
