Pidge an Chip from 80s voltron! I'm in a mood for the old show, so I may post some thoughts and ideas if they remake it in about... 20 more or less years, who knows,

You know, if they did a reboot of the 80s voltron they could use the episode 'Pidge's Home Planet' (Pidge based episode) > (insert another episode) > 'Letters From Home' (Chip based episode). It could end with Chip getting the hexagonal glasses to seperate himself from Pidge as a person and accept he has a place with the vehicle team while Pidge now has bonded with Allura as a sister of sorts and finds his own found family like Chip found his, but keeps his glasses as the lion team already had him a place compared to Chip, who felt out of place.
It could happen late in season one or the beginning of two, when the voltron teams finally meet to help Hawkins reveal Marshall Wade's true intentions of selling his own planet to Zarkon to have full control of the planet. (Zarkon probably had his sister marry into the Drules si he could rule both the empires, resulting in a bigger army and Wade wants that power and to oversee everything in his own planet), Pidge's planet blows up as a distraction, Hawkins reveals that Sven or Shiro, whoever is used, has been sending him some Altean blueprints to make another voltron for the exporer crew to weaken Drule forces an protect planets Earth an the planetless Baton's (Baalto citizens) can use.
Then they form voltrons and defeat Wade (one of three big bads taken down) to protect Garrison an Hawkin's right hand Newley takes over while they go to space to take on Drules (vehicle) an Galra (lion) while trying to find planets for earth an Baalto (vehicle) and heal Zarkon's damage on the universe near Altea (Lion).
And Krik has more visions an stuff, he's a cool blue alien with foresight(?) He could do a LOT. Especially if he was a prince of a planet the Drule has been trying to invade for years and finally succeeds... When Wade was taken out as a distraction as the Drules never came to Wade's aid, using it as a distraction to finally invade...
