Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 2008 under the aegis of Prestige Institute of Engineering Management and Research, Indore. The department has the vision to play a significant role and make focused efforts for achieving academic excellence and develop sincerely, motivated Computer Science and Engineering graduates with the knowledge, aptitude, and skills to be suitable for real-world problem-solving.
We offer a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) Program in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI and DS). All the Programs are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal. We are proud to say that we are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering Program.
Department is an active member of the Computer Society of India (CSI), the Association of Computer Machinery (ACM), the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), and the Institution of Engineer (IE). Department is also associated with the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB) under the Spoken Tutorial Project, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IITD) for Virtual Lab Project, National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), Remote Center of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IITK).
With an objective to enhance the technical skills of students, the department is associated with companies like Red Hat India Pvt Ltd., Rackbank Data Centres Pvt. Ltd., Open Access Platforms like AWS, IBM P-Tech Program, etc.
Department has well-qualified and experienced faculty members who are engaged in advanced research areas like Data Analytics, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Networking etc. There are more than five patents filed and granted by faculty members of the Department.
The department has well-equipped laboratories including research laboratories for taking up Research and Development consultancy activities in various fields of Computer Science and Engineering. The department has a star-studded alumni body, consisting of leading researchers around the world, entrepreneurs, experts, successful engineers, and impactful policymakers.
