Hi, I got my helix "pierced" with a gun like 6 yrs ago. It wouldn't heal for like two years and even after that it hurt everytime i slept on it. After 3 yrs I took it out. But still my cartilage is indurated. Always go to a professional!

I pierced my nose with a metal piercer gun I recently bought for $8.95 from Ebay and I LIVED TO TELL THE TALE.
1) I know the harm in using a gun vs. needles, the cartilage and blunt forced trauma.
2) I sterilized it to the best of my ability and knowledge and keep the jewelry spotless.
3) I am not a professional but I have internet and Youtube to guide me (Teehee)
4) There are FAR worse things people may do to their body other than piercing noses with guns. (Smoking, Drinking, Taking drugs, Eating junk food, Not eating at all, Cutting themselves, Not exercising, Underaged Sex, Unprotected Sex, Medicines, Bleaching hair, Botox, Plastic Surgery... The list is endless )
