A few months ago, my boyfriend got me a promise ring! I wear it now every day. It makes me feel so loved when I see it.
Piercing Pagoda | Jax & Solo
TAGGING → Jackson Torres and Solaris Schiffer
LOCATION → Virgin Sacrifice Tattoo/Piercing Parlor
TIME FRAME → August 10, 2015; Late night
GENERAL NOTES → No triggers!!
Jax has never gotten anything pierced before -- only one tattoo and he wasn't even sober when he did. Solo had easily convinced him to get something done, and Jax decided to go with the septum piercing he had recently fallen in love with. Apparently, it didn't hurt as much as other ones, so he was game. Arriving at the piercing parlor Solo worked at late that night, Jax peered his head through the front door to see if Solo was there before entering completely when he saw that he was. "Hey," he greeted the boy with a friendly hug, stuffing his hands into his, "So I'm more excited than nervous."
Solo looked good that day. His makeup was on-point, his clothes were comfortable and.. definitely in Solo's fashion taste. He looked up from his spot on the couch beside the tattoo artist, Mattie, and smiled as he noticed who had just walked through the door. "Hey!" he smiled, returning the hug eagerly. "Good. That's what I like to hear," he grinned. "Wanna see what I have picked out?" he asked, making his way over to the counter. The pulled a few pieces of jewelry out of the case. He had a few beautiful pieces out. "Do you like this, or something more solid?"
"Of course I wanna see. I was thinking about getting just a regular old bull ring, but maybe these are better," Jax added, following Solo towards the counter. "Oh, wow," Jax was in awe of the selection. He didn't even know that so many different kinds of rings existed, "I like it, but I feel like it would look weird on me." He held the jewelry to his nose, "Maybe somethin' that goes with everything since I have to keep it in for awhile."
He nodded. "You like the silver color, right?" He pulled out a tray. He had about ten different rings in white gold and titanium-- some with intricate patterns, and some more plain. "You'll be addicted to jewelry for it, once it heals." He smiled. "I think this would look good, and wouldn't overpower your face."
"Yea," Jax nodded when Solo asked if he liked silver, "How long would it take the piercing to heal anyway?" He watched as Solo took out the new tray of jewelry, just as fascinated by those as he was the first set. "I get why you're so into piercing now. This is so cool," he enthused, shrugging when Solo insisted he'd be in to the jewelry as well, "Maybe...I've only ever worn these necklace and watches." It wasn't until he was surrounded by all of this body jewelry that he realized he was so plan. "Oh, Solo, this is perfect," Jax gushed when he was shown the simple ring, "This is the one. I don't even need to see anymore."
"The official quote is four to six months, but I can change it for you after two." He smiled as Jax picked the simple, stacked ring."Okay! Let's go put fingers in your orifices as this sterilizes," he grinned, leading him to the piercing room. He packaged everything up and stuck it into the autoclave. "Wanna sit down while I feel for your sweet spot?" He washed his hands, and donned a pair of black gloves. "That's not dirty. Promise."
"Really? That long? Holy shit, what if I get a cold?" Jax gasped at the lengthy heal time, "I really like that ring so maybe I'll wait the five months." He laughed when Solo went to sterlize the ring, "Oh, I love it when you talk about sticking your fingers up my nostrils." He rolled his eyes playfully, finding a seat on one of the stools. "Already here, bud," he huffed in laughter before Solo made his way to him in a pair of black gloves. "I know. I trust you. Pierce me."
Solo walked over and wiped his nose out with a saline wipe. He felt around gently, and grinned. "Perfect sweet spot," he praised, yanking off his gloves. "It takes about ten minutes to cycle." He looked through the window. "Mattie's closing up for the night-- want some pizza? Maggie and I got a little cheese-happy last night. Mostly me."
Jackson said as still as he possibly could while having Solo's fingers up his nose, smiling up at the boy and noticing the effort he put into his looks. "I got it from my momma," Jax joked when Solo spoke about his "perfect sweet spot" in between his nostrils. "Pizza sounds great...I wanted to talk to you what happened too."
Solo nodded. "I didn't want to bring it up until you did," he admitted, opening the door to the piercing room. He took him to the back. "I spoke with Autumn today. I really think she totally misunderstood what I meant to say," he groaned, opening the fridge and letting Jax have free reign.
"I think so too. I got what you meant -- I think. It sounded like you were talking about dating in general, finding someone that's good for you. She didn't find that with me, so she lost that round. Is that right?" Jax tried to explain it the best way he knew how before taking a slice of plain pizza and eating it cold. "I just want you to know that I don't have strong feelings for anyone right now. I mean we've only know each other for a couple of weeks, right? I want to forget that the celibacy thing ever happened and start over. You don't have to feel like you're fighting for me or competing with anyone else. Just be...Solo." He sighed, hoping this cleared things up.
"Kind of, yeah," he said. "I was trying to cheer her up," he admitted. When he brought up the 'competition,' Solo ran his hand through his hair. "...I didn't think of it like a competition," he said. "I think that's why Autumn being offended threw me for a loop. I only want what makes you happy, because you're my friend, and that's what friends do," he stated. "I think.. many people were beginning to have feelings for you. When you mentioned the celibacy, I think it made people panic, thinking their feelings would never be known. And, I was worried, to be frank. Sex seems like something that is important to you, or at least, consistently makes you happy. I was worried that someone was trying to force you to change for them."
"Good," Jax felt like he could breath when Solo assured him that he didn't think there was a competition for Jackson's attention. He listened to Solo speak, hearing him sound like a true friend. He was the only one that actually took his feelings into consideration, and Jax appreciated that more than he knew. "Yea, I think so too. I had no idea all these people felt that way," Jax huffed, pushing his hair back, "Who know my dick could arise panic in the people of Miami Beach?" Jax had to make a joke out of this; he was beginning to feel nervous. "Sex is very important to me. I don't know -- I'm just a people pleaser, I guess, and I try to adjust myself to please everyone. And if someone I liked told me that being with other people hurts her, I'd stop because I have no backbone," Jax laughed at himself, taking another bite of his pizza.
"I think some of it is hype," he admitted. "People see popular people liking someone.. they want to like them, too. Some of them might just want to fuck you before you're off the market. You are a magnetic guy, too. And I'm not blowing smoke up your skirt. It's just a trait of yours." Solo shrugged. He reached out to rub Jax's shoudler. "It's okay to be a people pleaser. But.. it was wrong of her to ask you to change a big part of yourself overnight, and on a case of maybes." He smiled. "But this.. this isn't something where you should bend for everyone. You are allowed to be selfish when it comes to relationships. Find someone that compliments *you.* Find someone that makes *you* happy, and who accepts *you.*" He shook his shoulder gently.
"That's what I thought. Maybe they just want to sleep with me, and I'm up for that. But don't say you have feelings for me if it's just lust. It's hard to have feelings for someone you hardly know," Jax shook his head almost as if he was annoyed. He instantly felt a little lighter when Solo touched his shoulder, like a small weight have been lifted from it, "It was, and I see that now." Hearing Autumn say that seeing him flirt with other people hurt her and saying that she'd rather him not do it was a little manipulative but Jax was too blinded by the adorableness of their relationship. He couldn't say no. "Thank you, Solo -- really. You're one of the only people that asked me how /I/ felt about everything. People just paint me as this player, and I'm really not -- or at least I try not to be." He shrugged, letting out a sigh of relief and finishing his slice of pizza.
"This is not your fault." He rubbed his neck. "I'm serious. It's.. all of these people.. 'I love you because -blank.-' 'I want you.' 'Pick me, pick me.' And I'm genuinely sorry if I said anything like that." He shook his head. "I'm not going to get down on one knee and tell you how much I love you, because this is the real world. And you're right. I don't think anyone's known you for even a month yet, right?" He stretched. "You have the right to relax, to take it easy, to have fun with it. And if anyone tries to pressure you otherwise, give 'em a quick slap to the taint." Okay, that was all Solo. "All I intended for our conversation yesterday was to say.. I like you, and if you think we could explore it further, I'd love to. But, if not, it's not my place to get *all that* upset about it. If it sparks, it sparks." He looked up as he heard the autoclave beep. "Ready for a stabbing?"
"No, you didn't seem that...desperate at all. You seem like you genuinely cared about me, and I know you do," Jackson assured him, trying to find the words to say. He shook his head when Solo asked if anyone's known him for more than a month, "I met most of them at the festival and we just hit it off from there." Jax nodded at Solo's encouraging, relaxing words, chuckling when he mentioned slapping taints. God, Solo understood him. "That's exactly what I got. I just want things to develop at a natural pace. If there's chemistry there, then great. If there isn't, we're still friends," Jax beamed a closed-mouthed smile at the boy, swallowing when he asked if he was ready. "Ready as I'll ever be."
Solo had Jax lie down on the piercing table, and scooted his head off the end. "I think-- being willing to have sex with people blurs lines," he admitted. "Sex releases bonding hormones. So people get the idea you have feelings for them, when really, you just wanna bone them. I've seen it happen dozens of times." He grinned. He cleaned out his nose and marked it before putting on his gloves and mask. "Okay. Let me get all kinds of lined up."
Jax nodded at Solo's words, wondering if there was any personal experience behind them. "Has it happened to you?" Jackson decided to ask vague, though he was more considered with whether or not it happened between them As Solo cleaned his nose, Jax squirmed a little, not used to the feeling of someone else's finger in there. "Okay, now I'm getting nervous. Don't kill me," he laughed nervously.
"Plenty of times," he admitted. "It's science. It's not something anyone can help." He shrugged. He spent plenty of time getting lined up. "You'll feel a pinch-- like you have to sneeze. Then, your eyes will water," he explained. "But it won't be intensely painful. When you're ready, take a deep breath in... and I'll pierce on the nice, slow exhale."
Jax listened intently to Solo as he described the experience of getting your septum pierced, relaxing a bit now that he knew what was to come. Following his directions, Jax took the deep breath in and exhaled slowly. He waited for the sneezy feeling Solo told him about when the needle pierced his skin.
"And, done. You're all done," he stated. The actual piercing was over in the blink of an eye. He rinsed him gently with saline, and inserted the jewelry quickly. "Was that really too bad?"
"Fu--" Before Jax could finish the curse word, Solo was telling him that it was all over. Everything that he said what happen did occur, especially the eye-watering. "No, no. It was," Jax assured him sitting up. "Thank you, Solo -- really," he said graciously, giving the other man a hug. "C'mon, let me see my new face jewel."
"Get up slow," he warned. "And you're not the only one who has thanked me for stabbing them," he winked. He led him over to the mirror. "I love how the ring is closer to your nose. It looks so good." He smiled.
Finally seeing himself with the ring in his nose, Jax fell even more in love with the piercing. "I love it. It's weird how I feel like I look so different now. It's just one little ring," he pushed his hair back, wanting to touch his nose, but he knew it was sore. "How much do I owe you for all of this?"
Solo grinned. "The piece was a duplicate. The company accidentally sent it to us, but told us to keep it. Piercing fee's $30, but given that we're friends.. $25?"
"Really? Sweet," Jax enthused when he found out that he didn't have to pay for the piece of jewelry. He had a feeling that was more expensive than the service of actual being pierced. "It's cool, Solo. I'll pay the extra five dollars...do you tip piercers?" Jax raised a brow, shuffling in the pockets of his sweats, before pulling out his wallet and the thirty dollars cash -- in ones and fives. "I keep some of the tips from work."
You can if you want. I have a regular who tips me in LUSH products." He grinned. "Aftercare-- don't fucking touch it. Rinse it with some saline at night, and warm water in the mornings. Q-tips help."
"I'd tip you with head but bonding hormones," Jax smirked, bringing up their previous conversation. He nodded at Solo's aftercare instructions, "Yes, sir."
Solo smacked him in the belly. "They wear off, eventually!" He grinned. "It's been, like, 3 days sincewe fucked," he teased.
"Ow!" Jax winced when Solo hit his stomach, holding it or a moment. "Of course they do," Jax rolled his eyes playfully, palming the side of Solo's face. "Aw, you counted?" he teased, pressing his lips against the other's in a tender kiss.
"I'm judging by how long it takes the hickies to fade," he teased, kissing him back with plenty of tenderness-- and tongue.
"It took three days? I'd say I was sorry, but" Jax said smugly between kisses, dragging his palm down the front of Solo's pants. "So, do you want your tip here or back at my apartment?"
"You're not." Solo arched his hips into Jax's hand. "Let's go. I don't want to get frisky in my piercing room," he winked. "Is your place closer than mine?"
Jackson pouted when Solo picked fucking in his apartment rather than the piercing room they were in. "Upi
"You're such a professional," Jax placed a kiss against Solo's forehead before starting to make his way out of the parlor. "I'm all the way over in South Beach -- you've been to my apartment, right?"
Solo grabbed his hand. "I'm literally a block away. Wanna come to mine?"
Jax smiled at the hand Solo slipped into his before nodding at the taller man's offer. "Aw, yea. I miss Sluna."
"She thoroughly enjoyed sleeping in your shorts. Like daddy, like kitty." He grinned.
And then they had raw, dirty sex on every surface of solo's apartment that didn't have a cat on it.
Has anyone ever worked at a Piercing Pagoda? I saw on craigslist where the one in my mall is hiring and I can’t find much online from people who have worked there. Also can I look the way I do and work there? I like knowing how lenient places are about piercings/hair color before I apply so I don’t waste anyones time. I mean I can dye my hair back to a normal color but I’d rather not remove my piercings.
