Colour me surprised! Minions & Monsters is the best in the franchise since Despicable Me 2, and is a hilarious, wonderful tribute to Hollywood's earliest days of filmmaking. Both me and my Nooshy plush give it thumbs up!

Ways to approach the poll if the character isn’t a royal:

If you think they’d be from a smaller house, go with the Great House that that smaller house is sworn to (ex: House Manderly —> vote Stark)

They don’t have to be a nobleperson, they can be someone working for the house or being ruled by them. Roles could be a sworn-sword, a septa, a butcher, a blacksmith, or even a lowly peasant.

You can consider the region itself. For example, if you feel the character would be from Dorne, pick House Martell.

You can consider the personality of the character. For example, if your character is all about honor, then consider either House Arryn or House Stark.

Last, but not least, be creative with it! For example, there was a comment I read that the character who was the subject of the poll would be pulling a Littlefinger, so they went with either Lannister or Tyrell as that would be that character’s target houses.

Minions & Monsters Trailer

The minions are now movie stars and have written their own monster movie. Problem is, they need monsters for their monster movie. Bigger problem is, now they need to save the planet from the monsters they've unleashed.

Minions & Monsters is directed by Pierre Coffin from a screenplay by Brian Lynch and Coffin. Coffin also once again provides the voice for the Minions.

Minions & Monsters releases to theaters on July 1, 2026.

Minions premiered in London, England on 11 June 2015, before its official release a month later.

A spin-off from the successful Despicable Me (2010), the project began in 2012, with Brian Lynch writing and Kyle Balda co-directing with Pierre Coffin (who once again provided the voices of the minions).

Minions received mixed reviews, but an almost $600 million promotional budget helped drive audiences, and the film would go on to earn nearly $1.6 billion at the box office, making it the 5th highest-grossing film of the year, and the 2nd highest-grossing animated film of all time (at the time. It now ranks 8th).
