Pierre Lacroix - Bibi avait tout prévu
Couverture de Jeunesse Joyeuses N°63 mai 1960 - Bibi Fricotin par Pierre Lacroix .
Pierre LACROIX (1912-1994)
This french cartoonist is best known for his long run on “Bibi Fricotin” (created by Louis Forton) although he had designed many other series & characters. Unfortunately, these works were not (or rarely) published in albums. You’ll find them only in the periodics of the time.
Like “Mick & Mack, a serie that ran in “Lisette”, a comics magazine for a youth feminine readership, between the ending fifties and the mid-sixties. There was only one album published in 2011(and probably in reduced print run).
I remember having read “Mick et Mack au pays des brumes” in my cousine’s “Lisette” collection as I was six or seven years old. I found it rather creepy with its “Man in black” - who had a green face like a corpse may have one - and all the strange things that were happening all along the story. Delicious feelings...
Maybe it is the reading of “Mick & Mack au pays des brumes” - and the way I felt then - that explains my fifty years lasting appetite for weird tales....
