yes. these are 2 statements that don’t contradict each other.
i can want someone to be straightforward with what they want in my dms without playing 20 questions about my day with me first. i am alright with receiving messages that get straight to the point and are straight up kinky.
however, if someone sends me a dm and i tell them that i’m not interested in that kink or whatever and they continue to send me 10 more messages in an attempt to convince me that i am into this - that is someone being pushy. that’s not being straightforward. that’s just being a pushy asshole.
