What’s a pika’clone?

Saguaro: Well, it's not a very… scientific term, to be honest, but it's a good descriptor. Arawn: It's what many people call Electric-type rodent Pokémon with cheek pouches. Saguaro: They have no close ties to Pikachu itself-it's another type of Convergent.

Saguaro: Pachirisu, Morpeko, Togedemaru… Pokémon like those are what many call Pika'clones. Arawn: Almost all of them don't evolve, either. It's really interesting! Saguaro: I'm actually considering adding Pika'clones to my studies. It's very interesting how so many rodent or rodent-like Pokémon all fill the same niche of 'need electricity to protect self'. Arawn: Is that what you think it is? Saguaro: I think so. I'd need to do more studies, of course, but rodent Pokémon's biggest worry are large Bird Pokémon. It'd make sense that to protect themselves from being picked off, they'd develop Electric-Type abilities. Arawn: And what of some with the secondary types? Saguaro: I personally believe that those already had that type previously. Ones that are pure Electric likely were pure Normal before. But without fully studying them and understanding their evolutionary path, I can't say for sure.

Ever since @084392 made a post about the Pikachu clones having evolves I've been unable to stop thinking about it. My favourite Pikachu clone is Emolga, so I figured I'd give their evo a shot!

It was super fun to design Ampyre. I think they go looking for strong electric types to drain the electricity out of them. In my head they're as tall as the average persons hip. I really wanted to make them Electric/ghost, but I didn't want to lose Emolga's immunity to ground, so I gave them levitate as an ability.
