For the OC asks, for any character(s) of your choosing:
[7] Are they a good liar, and what would they probably lie about?
[17] What is their biggest struggle that no one around them is able to understand or believe?
hi snappy!! i'll be roping in all four of the ocs i've got on tumblr right now - those being mienna (yay), qyupie, andromeda and magia!
[7] - Are they a good liar, and what would they probably lie about?
mienna: absolutely awful at lying. she tends to feel quite guilty over things like these, and so she'd rather not lie at all. still, she isn't entirely honest when it comes to talking about her feelings. when it comes to those, brushing over them is a breeze.
qyupie: quite good, but not perfect. she lies for fun more than anything, and if not for fun, then to paint a pretty portrait of herself for people who don't know her personally. while she tends to keep up an upbeat facade most of the time, certain people know how to push just the right buttons to get her to snap.
andromeda: oh, she's very, very good at lying. not to other people, though - moreso to herself. even having seen the truth with her own two eyes, and having felt the aftermath, she refuses to accept what happened. she'd rather convince herself that there's still hope for her to achieve her 'utmost desire', no matter what the past says.
she's.. okay at lying to other people. it's her tone of voice, if anything, that makes what she says sound convincing. if you know your facts, and where you stand, then she can barely deceive you.
magia: it's a good liar, but only in certain respects. it's remarkably good at convincing other people that it knows more than it does, but quite poor at concealing what it really knows. lucky for magia, she doesn't know that much! outside of her own secrecy, there's little for her to lie about.
[17] - What is their biggest struggle that no one around them is able to understand or believe?
mienna: considering this one's about struggles that nobody around her would understand or believe, this would probably have to be her own self-perception. its not that she hates herself, but more like she struggles to forgive herself. she's always worried about her own cowardice, or her own guilt, or her own kindness being abused. when she does find herself afraid or guilty or her compassion a tool, she's quite quick to hold it against herself for a long, long time.
qyupie: she's not very good at keeping the friends she makes, or at making meaningful friendships at all. she talks to practically everyone, and she knows how their days have been, and if they passed that test or not, or how their families are doing, but she rarely ever makes it past that. and the one friend she has isn't so much of a friend anymore, but a petty, not-so-nostalgic workplace rival who doesn't care so much for old times.
andromeda: her very, very strange stance on her sister. while she loves her dearly, and still stands prepared to sacrifice thousands and even herself to bring her back, she can't help but blame her for where she is in the first place. if she hadn't brought her back to life, she wouldn't have to grieve her. but if she thinks like that, then isn't that saying her sister's sacrifice meant nothing? again, she has a strange stance on her sister. i don't think it's going to get any better.
magia: she struggles with her purpose and relevance above all. she was designed to fight and defend, but she's never been given the chance to fight for anything. even now, surrounded by all these new people, it knows that when trouble comes, they'll all look to someone else. it's certainly not jealous, but it's quite confused about what it's supposed to do with itself.
