I was out at the farm I grew up on for a bit of a work retreat/get some pages of my book done!My parents have a renovated barn with a crazy amazing loft. it even has a year-round Xmas tree, because it's too large to put away... My mom had just had an art show as well! So I was surrounded by her work as I made new pages. adventures included: • Getting chased out of the yard by a Rooster • Almost being body-checked by a startled deer while on a run • canoe trip + portaging the canoe way too far • waving at every car that you go past. • Getting chased inside by a rooster • Eating way too many crabapples, and wondering if you can die from eating too many apples (and it's not like a doctor would/could get anywhere close to someone full of apples) I would always book tour in rural Manitoba, visiting a bunch the smaller neighbouring towns/schools to where I grew up. It's sad to think I won't be able to do any school visits for a while yet, but we're awfully close to hitting the stretch goal on Kickstarter to donate books to 10 small town schools!
