Dream Journal 2017-05-19: Fish Davidson Develops A Majestic “Pimp Step”

You know how people on fast motorcycles have to really lean into turns, and then they can just pop right back up like nothing ever happened? My ankles were supernaturally flexible in this dream, and I found out that I could somehow manage to walk while leaning almost parallel to the ground. Upon realizing my abilities, two thoughts ran through my mind:

I now possess an impressive amount of swagger

Can I walk down steps like this?

Now I’ve teleported to the front doors of the Methodist church downtown. It’s the only building nearby with really wide steps. I limber up and lean sideways. The descent is difficult, but manageable. I’m using a bunch of weird muscles to stay in this position, and it makes it so I can only move at the pace of a slow waddle. But at least I look good doing it.

When I get to the bottom of the white stone steps, two ladies are sitting at a small table on the sidewalk. “Excuse me, sir?” one of the ladies asks. “Would you like to buy a book to help support the Friends of the Library Foundation?”

I pop upright from my horizontal waddle. “Uh, no. I already bought a book about seahorses.” This was a lie, but due to it being a dream, my subconscious made a children’s book about seahorses materialize in my hand so I would look like less of a liar. Then I flopped face-first onto the sidewalk and swaggered out of there.

Fish Davidson is apparently too cool to support his local library, and that is not a nice thing to be.
