Pincushion Headcanons
💜🦊🩶
He makes so many noises. He’s very talkative, from yipping playfully to barking in warning to whining for attention and so much more. Unless he’s specifically warned or feels that Occtis is fearful, he keeps up with his noises.
His favorite fruit is blueberries, even though he doesn’t technically need to eat.
His left button has the tendency to fall off; Occtis needs to keep a sewing pouch with him at all times, just in case.
Pin’s behaviors are mixed. A lot of them do resemble arctic fox behavior, but it is mixed to match red fox behavior and some behaviors that Occtis hasn’t seen in foxes at all.
His favorite spot is lying on Occtis’s chest. It used to be staying at his feet, but that has changed.
Pin loves making friends.
Training is something Pin is still going through with Occtis. It isn’t consistent work, and Pin has a lot more work to do, and he doesn’t always cooperate, but they’re working to improve. A good portion of this work is behavior based, so Pin will stop acting up, but some of it is following the work of service animal training for anxiety.
Pin isn’t that sneaky but he is a trouble maker. He’s a little mischievous with the tendency to go against Occtis’s orders, but his cuteness makes up for it. I guess.
He started stealing Occtis’s clothes after Pin met Wulfric. This pattern of behavior continues, though less so after Occtis gave him his scarf.
Pin is on the smaller size for arctic foxes, putting him on the younger side when Occtis found him originally. This made it harder for Occtis to find parts that matched his size, so Pin is slightly lopsided in his steps, but Pin doesn’t seem to mind. Likewise, his red fox ear is larger than the other.
At the Penterveral, Pincushion’s favorite toy was a rubber chicken. It squeaked. He went through three of these, and it was his favorite, so Occtis, reluctantly, kept getting him one.
Pin likes rain but does not like puddles, but he is okay swimming. He's very particular about puddles.
Pin and Occtis are connected, and Pin is able to feel some semblance of emotion.
Pincushion was named in honor of Thimble, despite it having been years since the two saw each other, giving some insight into how much her friendship meant to him.
He despises grapes. Evil fruit.
