Pine River was supposed to be a new start for me.

And it was, especially attending school with my three overprotective cousins, who were the triplets at the top of the social hierarchy.

Except they weren't alone there, and the first day when I came to school, I saw him.

Scout Raiden.

Addicting, emotional, engaging, sexy, raw, angsty, and it brought all the feels! I couldn’t put this multi-romance trope down. I was consumed with this beautifully, written story. Their back story will bring you to your knees, because these two have not had an easy past. But then fate brings them together. And their sassy banter, dark looks, hate filled rage is just so exhilarating as they fight their magnetic attraction. They are both so perfect for each other, and I think that is why their attraction is so overwhelming. The secondary characters bring so much to the story and I enjoyed getting to know all these new characters and their friendships/relationships as well as their interactions and their loyalty to one another.

Ramsay Williams and her mother moved to Pine River for a new start and to be closer to family for support. Leaving the past in the rear view mirror as they try to push it from their minds. Starting her senior year at Pine River High School, Ramsay had her protective, triplet cousins at the top of the school hierarchy to stand by her. But what she didn’t count on was him, her cousin’s hot, best friend, Scout Raiden. But she needed to blend in so, she needed to stay away from him. Not just for her sake but for her cousins as well. She would have to fight her feelings to survive his attraction, and she wasn’t so sure she could. She hated him, but she wanted him so, so, bad!

Scout Raiden was the epitome of a bad boy, tattoos, muscle and a broody attitude. He moved to Pine River a year ago, to live with his Uncle, when he first started getting noticed by the UFC. But when Ramsay Williams his best friend’s cousin, starts at his school, he knows she is off-limits, and he needs to stay away from her, or it could cost him everything. I loved watching them fight their feelings until they couldn’t anymore. Their sizzling connection was…dark, powerful, but full of warmth, tenderness, magic and love, helping heal the broken pieces in each of them. It was exhilarating and consuming! I loved every moment of their journey! Highly recommend this story!

Page 01. ----- Manitoba Farm Laborer Cleared in Killing of Father-in-Law ---- DAUPHIN, Man., March 4. - Mike Yatskowski, 22-year-old Pine River, farm laborer, was acquitted last night by a jury of a charge he murdered his 49-year-old father-in-law, Peter Senyk, whose body was found in a shallow grave on Senyk’s farm last August 18. Mr. justice J. E. Aeamson presided at the three-day trial.

Evidence showed Yatskowksi was convicted and fined May 12, 1937, on an assault charge laid by Senyk. The father-in-law was last seen alive by neighbors July 23 and it was believed he was killed the next day. Yatskowski was arrested at Pine River September 18. Alex Katz, defence counsel, contended at the trial that the butt of a .22 calibre rifle borrowed by Yatskowski from a neighbor and found near Senyk’s grave was a ‘plant’ by someone attempting to place suspicion on the son-in-law. Senyk was killed by a blow to the head.
