Been so busy I totally forgot about uploading these photos I took in Oregon. Connie and I decided to go on a spontaneous road trip up to Oregon to lurk around. We were supposed to get a nice Airbnb, but ended up canceling since a good friend of mine (Gar) invited us to come crash with him. At first I was a little weary because I didn’t want to intrude, but it ended up working out and we all had fun together the entire weekend. We definitely did a lot but I only captured a few events since I didn’t feel like lugging the SLR around.
We started off the trip with Crater Lake, which ended up being a total fail. We drove all through the night and got lost for at least 2 hours trying to find this Lake. When we finally got there it started storming so bad we couldn’t even see the Lake. Regardless, it was a gnarly journey and we still made the best of it. Leaving the Lake was an adventure in itself since it was located in buttfuck nowhere. I had to do a 40+ mile drive through winding mountains on 2 hours of sleep which was probably the worst part of the entire trip. I have never hallucinated so bad in my entire life. Luckily Connie and I were able to switch off drive duty. After that long defeat, we decided to finally make our way to Portland to meet up with Gar and his girlfriend (whose also named Connie).
When we got there we were surprised with a nice rib dinner. (Seriously love Gar and Connie). This was seriously what we needed most after being on the road for 12+ hours. We just relaxed, drank, and played some board games. The next morning we decided to do some more adventurous shit and visited Mulholland Falls. After we got dinner and then went out to downtown Portland for dinner and some bar hopping. We ended up bumping into Marcus V and his girl and we hung out the whole night 3 couples deep. It was dope. We stayed up till like 6am that night just enjoying each others company.
The next morning was rough, but we had to make the most of it since it was our last day in Portland. We decided to take it easy and get brunch in DT Portland again. We strolled around but ended up throwing the towel early since Gar and Connie had work the next morning and we had a long drive ahead of us. We ended the night drinking and playing board games (something we seem to be very fond of...guess that's the adult life).
Connie and I ended our Portland trip getting Pine State Biscuits and then made our way back to the Bay. It was a good weekend.

Last day in Oregon. Pine state biscuits and blue star donuts to end our trip.
Food: Pine State Biscuits
A friend of mine recommended having breakfast at Pine State Biscuits. Let me tell you, this is the real deal; everything a biscuit should be. Located on Belmont St. in a nice little neighborhood called Sunnyside, to the East of downtown, the place is exactly what I expected of a "locals" joint in Portland. The Bubble Up is kinda like sprite, and dont forget the requisite mug of Stumptown Coffee
