Past Loki has horns as his signature piece of clothing; golden, big, gaudy. He was the Loki that became the God of Evil.

Kid Loki did not have horns. He was a fresh slate, a child, he wanted to be good despite his nature. He was good, as good as a Loki can be. He was the closest a Loki can get to being a hero.

Present Loki, the one seen in Agent of Asgard, is neither good nor bad, neither evil nor hero. His horns are broken; one normal, one snapped. He is on neither the good side or bad; he's on his own side.
