Pinja (the pine dryad) is actually quite a spoiler character for the plot... But I already like imagining her in action, so why not draw her.

[This profile is short and simple, since I plan on drawing the story and I want to unveil more about the characters in it and not have everything written out here. What you find here is what I think can be useful for people who maybe want to draw the character or have a general idea of who she is.] ♥ Name: Pinja Mannes ♥ Age: 17 ♥ Birthday: September 21st ♥ Sexual Orientation: Lesbian [Her girlfriend is called Fay and is a magical girl as well! I will link her reference sheet as soon as it's ready!] ♥ Height: 163cm | 5'4 ♥ Preferred clothing when not transformed: Simple and comfortable. She wears as little layers as possible and doesn't really like accessories if they're not useful in some way. She's into comfy dresses, a-line skirts and solid colours. She prefers muted colours and earth tones. ♥ Personality: Quiet and balanced. Naturally shy, but now that she's a magical girl she's learning how to be a little more self-confident and "out-there" when it's needed. She loves having friends around and doesn't take well being alone for a long time, even if she doesn't feel the need to be at the centre of everyone's attention. Her favourite thing are big dinners with all the girls of her team. ♥ Vague Backstory: She's an only child, she was always kind of in the background and didn't believe in herself much. Because of it, she refused to become a magical girl two times before finally accepting to become one. Feeling valued both as a person and as a part of her team, she started to feel more self-confident. She also met her girlfriend thanks to becoming a magical girl, as Fay is part of her sister-team, so she's really grateful for this opportunity. Moon's Warriors is a big group of 13 girls, divided in 4 smaller teams, while Sun's Fighters is a group of 8 girls, divided in 2 teams, Sun's Night and Sun's Light. This is basically because having 8 or 13 girls on the same task would be crazy and unnecessary.

HEL-YA! tulee taas

Suomen ensimmäinen ja ainoa Young Adult -kirjojen fanitapahtuma HEL-YA! palaa syksyllä! Tällä kertaa tapahtuma järjestetään 29.9. Kulttuuriareena Gloriassa Helsingissä.

Tähän mennessä julkaistuja esiintyjiä ovat muun muassa keväällä Sensored Reality -trilogian aloittaneen romaaninsa Beta julkaisseet Aki Parhamaa ja Anders Vacklin, syksyllä Nefirin tytär -kirjan julkaiseva Erika Vik, Nörtti-sarjallaan tutuksi tullut Aleksi Delikouras, sekä syksyllä runokokoelman julkaisevat Karri “Paleface” Miettinen ja Kaisa Happonen. 

Viime vuonna Hel-YA!:ssa riitti mielenkiintoista seurattavaa koko päiväksi, ja sama meno näyttää jatkuvan tänäkin vuonna. Kirjailijakeskusteluiden lisäksi tiedossa on muutakin ohjelmaa, kuten työpajoja ja musiikkia. Lisäksi trilleristi Max Seeck kirjoittaa tapahtuman aikana liveromaanin, jonka sisältöön tapahtuman osallistujat voivat vaikuttaa! Voit muuten vaikuttaa tapahtuman ohjelmaan myös esimerkiksi jättämällä kysymyksiä kirjailijoille HEL-YA!:n Facebook-sivuilla.

Koko ohjelman julkaisua joudumme odottamaan vielä kuukauden verran, mutta sen yhteydessä 1.8. alkaakin sitten myös lippujen myynti. Nähdäänkö täällä?
