yeah it was a nightmare!! aileen would never say that :( it's just jada's subconscious mind feeling guilty from every angle; guilty because she saved sylvia but couldn't save her own mom, guilty because it caused the death of an innocent woman, guilty because now she has proof that she could have saved her mom if she'd just tried harder (debatable, but we'll get there), and guilty that she would even want to save her mom when she knows it would kill another person. in her head, all she can imagine is that aileen would be so disappointed in her. it's not true at all though :(

Obviously, I go by the nsb rules and the original decades challenge rules (idk this one or this one). Since nsb has ten generations, it goes from 1890s to 1980s. But I don't exactly follow the decades rules too closely, so it doesn't interfere with the nsb part. It's mostly about the aesthetic tbh lol.

Anyways, this is the order I've decided on (for now):

1890s – mint 1900s – rose 1910s – grey 1920s – peach 1930s – orange 1940s – pink 1950s – plum 1960s – yellow 1970s – blue 1980s – green

Might change some stuff around, but probably not. For example, I think yellow should be 60s because of the moon landing and stuff and green should be 80s because it needs computers and such, so it just makes the most sense like that imo.

It’s not up to me, I’m afraid. My friend made the mesh and they don’t want it released in its current state. If they ever make a version they want to release I will happily publish my recolours.

I didn't code any music player on that page and I'm quite sure the original theme didn't have one! Unless it did and I'm just a clown who didn't notice, which is super possible.

hi me again i thought i sounded kinda harsh in my last ask so i’m going to say again hopefully this time nicer: a victorian girls skirt changes several times throughout her childhood, at 7/8 would her skirt probably go to mid calf lengh, ay 11/12 the skirt would go to the top of her boot (u know these victorian boots they used to wear all the time?), and then finally at 14 (i think sometimes 15) her skirt would go to ankle length!.

a girl also wouldn’t wear her hair up till she was old enough to marry (note; some sources say 17), i don’t know how how that worked for working class girls or ones which lived on farms but a braid should probably do. also this has nothing to do with this and is not a fact, but i just really need to say this; i’m pretty sure that it is not true that working class women did get married younger, most girls did work before they got married (i think teacher was a pretty popular job) cuz u know they had not much money.

And i know there is not much cc to choose from to make it 100% historical accurate but i thought just say this in case anyone wants to make their game more accurate this is what i know 🤲🏽.

And i also wanted to say that u shouldn’t take what i just wrote as 100% fact cuz i don’t know everything and all my sources could be wrong. anyway 😏 i’m sorry for any spelling mistakes or missing words english is neither my first or second language and also have dyslexia 🤪(yay!!!)

To finally end this terrible long ask i just wanted to say that i’m so grateful for u 🥰. my fashion knowledge goes from 1880 to the 20s and after that i know absolutely nothing! !!,!! i would be completely lost without this blog.



Don’t worry dear, it wasn’t harsh at all, just informative! It’s wonderful to have this follow up with more information though - thank you so much! I will say that most of Rose’s outfits have shorter skirts (you can see her ankle in the pic for today, scandalous). The long skirt with the apron is from @gilded-ghosts wonderful New Woman set and I just love it so much, but it’s mostly an outfit for her to wear around the house when helping with Elmer and all (she does look like mini-Luna when she wears it, as Luna’s everyday outfits both use that skirt).

Rose does wear her hair down, but I didn’t know exactly the rules behind that i was mostly copying @pixelnrd. It’s very interesting to learn more specifics about it!

I feel like the outfits and hairstyles are sometimes a shot in the dark because I don’t have many resources for what families from 1890s Canadian fishing towns looked like. So it’s always wonderful to get advice, especially such detailed guidance! Thank you again 💕

did u ever think about maybe making historic wedding dresses?

I have considered it and you can probably see in my downloads that I've dabbled with it a few times but I just feel constricted by having to strictly follow the fashion of the time. So I will probably not make accurate historical dresses.
