Thinking of making some Naga and Pabu pins- would anyone be interested in these?
Loving the new season of She-Ra, especially Double Trouble! We’d love to pin them!
what happened to you guys? how come you are down to like less than half of what you used to have? what happened to all the SU pins or the star pins or the gravity falls pins? aren't you guys restocking?
Thanks for asking! It’s true, things have slowed down and changed at PinYatta- there are a few reasons for this:
Last year, the founder and lead artist of PinYatta, Erin, was diagnosed with a rare and serious form of pancreatic cancer. The better part of the year was spent in chemotherapy and undergoing a major surgery, which she’s still recovering from.
PinYatta has always been a passion/side project for Erin, so during cancer treatment she had to focus a lot of her remaining time into her day job in order to keep paying for regular expenses and medical bills.
As for the SU pins, those were all moved into PinYatta’s Pin Club- which is hosted on Patreon. Members get access to a secret storefront where all sorts of new SU-related pins are dropped on a monthly basis! Find out more at patreon.com/pinyattashop
Lastly, right when Erin was being discharged from the hospital after surgery, the studio she was working at was shuttered. She then had to spend time finding a new day job to pay the bills. She finally landed a job, however it is requiring her, the family, and business to relocate down to Southern California, which is where we’re at now!
So between cancer recovery, moving, starting a new job, and even dealing with the pandemic- things have been pretty nuts and unfortunately PinYatta has taken most of the hit. It’s still Erin’s passion project and she plans on keeping it going, making more pins and merch however she can! It’s just been quite a crazy year.
The best place to get updates on Erin’s life and health is on Instagram @zzleigh or by following PinYatta’s account @pinyattashop
Thanks again for your question and we hope to bring you more amazing pins soon!
