Milford Sound Sun Shower by Mike Via Flickr: A typical wet spring day at Milford Sound, Fiordland National Park, New Zealand. Milford Sound (actually a fiord) has a number of waterfalls with the main waterfall in view named the Bowen Falls (162 metres, 530 feet) that thunders at 2 or 3 times the normal volume in the wet. The other waterfall to the right is one of many waterfalls that occur each time it rains. Some say Milford Sound is best in the wet.
