Since you like analyzing fashion and clothes, I was wondering. What is your favorite element to each of the Witch's Heart characters designs?

FOR CLAIRE i really like her bow its super cute and its like her signature

for ashe i like that he wears a cheongsam because it shows that he travels around since hes not wearing a piece of clothing that originates in the area that the game takes place in (DOES THAT MAKE SENSE..)

slso the color scheme is nice and fits his hair <3

for wilardo his pendant is pretty and also he gets it from gramps so i think its relaly interesting

IT ALSO FITS HIS COLOR SCHEME.. maybe there is a common theme

actually forget what i said about that common theme because my favorite element of sirius' design is his moon earring

this picture is so silly ANYWAYS ITS SO ICONIC and tbh gold goes nice with purple so ill say it fits

for noel i like the little blue bow he has tied to the collar of his shirt

ITS SO SHINY and also it sort of shows his closeness to claire because htey both have blue bows + it fits his color scheme

for zizel i like her mismatching bows on her braids I HAVE NO REASON TO i just think theyre cute and one of her signature things

umm for lime this is sort of specific but her eyes are really pretty.. like the eyelashes and the color of her eyes and everything

TBH I REALLY LIKE ALL OF THE CHARACTERS' EYES THEYRE ALL SO PRETTY AND FIT THEIR CHARACTERS SO WELL..

ok finally for rouge i like the cosmetics she has (IS THAT THE RIGHT WORD??) like her lipstick and her nails

THAT PICTURE IS SO TINY anyways i think it sort of shows her status as being the highest ranking demon in hell because she doesnt have to like do work or anything.. like she can afford expensive (??) things like having her nails and makeup done even though theres no like money it still sort of shows her status which is cool i think

OKAY AMBER WAS THE ONE WHO ORIGINALLY BROUGHT THIS UP BUT NOW IM THINKING ABOUT IT

in ashe’s backstory him matty and richard all wear the same uniform but ashe is the only one wearing a bow and like.. properly wearing the uniform

like matty is wearing his somewhat normally but he doesnt have a bow

neither does richard + his shirt is even unbuttoned a little and his jackets like.. more open?? idk how to describe it

meanwhile ashe has his bow and his cardigan/jacket thing is closed and buttoned up

this actually shows their dynamic really well i think because matty and richard don’t take school as seriously as ashe, and they’re more willing to like go party and stuff and just overall not as like studious as him?? i cant think of the right word but like their uniforms are more of a loose interpretation rather than sticking to a strict routine like ashe’s does, and richard even has his more open + a little unbuttoned, which shows how hes not taking the same like education path as ashe and matty and isn’t as “smart” as them and is more of a socially focused person

meanwhile ashe’s uniform is all buttoned up and has a bow, which makes you think that hes the only one whos actually wearing it right, which shows how he takes his academics really seriously and is way more academically focused than matty and richard, even the fact that his cardigan is buttoned up shows how he’s not as like socially open as the other two?? and not willing to open up like his emotions to them or pretty much anyone because hes more focused on studying and school than anything else

ALSO if you look at noel’s outfit, it looks really similar to ashe’s uniform both in color and in sihoulette, with the dark blue cardigan/blazer over a white undershirt with a popped collar and also the bow!! i think that’s a really cool detail which adds to their parellels even more.. maybe noel’s style is similar to what ashe’s was in the past??

Can you compare Lime and Lilia’s fashion? Since Lilia has just 1 outfit, I think, you can just compare their casual outfits. :)

yes of course!! also looking at lilia's gallery she has two outfits actually.. but i'll just use lime's regular outfit because she still doesn't have too many

here are their outfits side by side!! sort of.. actually looking at them together they almost seem like a reverse color pallette of each other's?? which is interesting considering they have 0 relation or interaction in the game.. like lime's outfit has the sort of red/purple on the inside and lilia's has it on the outside if that makes sense? i hope it does

anyway, the outfits are actually quite similar even besides the similar colors they're both sort of school uniform-y.. however lilia's outfit probably is her school uniform while lime's is just in that style so that makes sense.. like they both have the popped collar + cute bow combination and also cuffs at the ends of their sleeves and you could probably switch their outfits and have a minimal difference

here's a better view of lilia's outfit! it looks like she layered a black dress over a purple shirt with a popped collar and added a red bow to it which is very stylish of her to be honest.. i could sort of see lime doing that but she'd definitely add some more accessories so their styles don't seem too different!

ignore ashe.. anyways i feel like this is worth mentioning because even though it's her regular outfit she added a cute little bunny headband! to be fair this is easter art so it could just be for the occasion but i think she'd definitely be the type of girl to wear cute accessories a lot and lime is too! so that's another similarity in their style

this is lilia's other outfit that's shown in her gallery.. it just looks like a standard japanese school uniform so i'm not quite sure what to say about it.. again it has the bow details and the sleeve cuffs which lime also wears in her regular outfit

i could definitely see lime wearing this too because i feel like she'd make this a costume somehow or something.. or just wear it normally and add some accessories

overall their styles are way more similar than i thought they were.. ive never really thought about comparing them because it seems kind of random at first but they're actually super similar! lime's is more costumey and over the top of course and she'd definitely add more accessories and stuff like that but lilia is like 11 so i don't expect her to be like a fashion icon but anyways this is a really interesting to think about anon.. if you noticed this by yourself then this is a genuinely good catch i've never thought about it,, maybe this alludes to something happening in ashe's conclusion involving lime and lilia? now that i'm looking at it their styles seem very very similar and i'm not sure if it's just a coincidence.. i could be overthinking it but it's interesting to think about especially if you consider the fact that ashe's family died in a burning house and lime also died by being burned so it could be some sort of parallel between them

in my head gold goes with warm colors (pink red orange and some yellows) and silver goes with cool colors (blue purple and some greens) and with yellow and green some of them are warm and some of them are cool its kinda hard to tell but i jjst mostly guess.. ALSO IF YOU MIX METALS OR PAIR THEM WITH DIFFERENT COLORS THATS TOTALLY FINE this is jjst what my silly mind thikns...

and also i look absolutely terrible and honestly a little scary wearing cool colors especially blue for some reason i think it's because my skin has an orangey undertone and blue and orange are complementary so they sort of drown each other out or something about color theory idk.. anyway i almost always wear a really really light pink eyeshadow (unless im wearing like orange or red or something then i wear those colors mostly or i jjst wear my gold one its pretty and glittery and shimmery) i really like pink it is so pretty BUT ANYWAYS i like wearing the light pink i feel like cooler color eyeshadow and also darker colors in general make me look kinda scary and i jjst feel really weird i prefer giving off a more like.. sweet cutesy person energy (AT LEAST I HOPE I DO?) rather than like a scary person..... SORRY THAT SOUNDS KINDA WEIRD UMM I PROMISE I DONT MANIPULATE PEOPLE OR ANYTHING I JUST THINK I LOOK CUTE WITH PINK

Sorry if this seems badly worded in advance. But in the hypothetical situation Rouge would have to wear clothes frequently associated with lighter colours, ex. a wedding dress, would she? Or would she opt for a darker coloured variant of the same thing?

I got to thinking about this, in part, based of off the post with Lime wearing a wedding dress., and how you thought she most likely wouldn't wear that sort of thing. Also because she is seen wearing darker tones, and it reminded me of the previous point.

Especially since, from what i've found, she only has ever been drawn in lighter tones by IZ twice. Here, and here. But in both cases it is only partially.

And when i partially, in case of the former, it should be pretty self-explanatory. But in case the latter, it would be because 1) it's part of a whole artwork, with Rouge only being a small part of, literally. And 2) in lieu of part 1, it feel cohesive to that particular art piece.

Then again, it would be hard to judge as a whole since she has so little artwork. Apologizes for my lengthy input, just thinking, i suppose.

So TLDR; would Rouge wear lighter coloured clothing if need be?

THIS ASK IS SO INTERESTING THANK YOU ANON.. im not too sure either because she doesnt have much artwork like you mentioned but i dont really think she would, she'd probably go for a darker version because that's what she typically wears and she doesn't seem like the type to go outside a certain style (like the other demons do), hers seems more fixed if that makes sense?? she has a color palette that she seems to want to stick to and pastels dont really seem to fit in there

the first example you gave (this one) has very little lighter colors (the gray-ish on her umm. uh. IDK HOW ELSE TO SAY THIS. HER BOOBS and maybe you could count the gold bow accents) and the darker colors are more prominent + this was in the photobooth so she didn't even pick this herself, so even though i think she likes it (? i can't remember the dialogue from the scene anymore </3 but it fits her so) i dont think shed opt for lighter colors normally because that shade of deep red and also black is really really prominent in her wardrobe

for this second one i think youre right! it was probably just to fit in with the art piece's color scheme and also the other demons because theyre wearing the same color.. also her normal color scheme (red + black) probably wouldve contrasted with everything and i think the human characters are meant to stand out rather than the demons so they all have the same color palette? maybe? but yeah this color doesnt really suit her and i would say she doesnt look very happy in this picture but she almost never does with the human characters besides noel so 😭

OVERALL.. i dont think she would, since she's a high-ranking demon and really powerful i dont know if theres ever a situation where she would HAVE to wear light colored clothes because nobody can force her and shed just be like oh do you dare to question my power or something.. i think in a situation where she would have to wear a wedding dress or something like that she would opt for one with darker colors like you said, shed probably wear a black wedding dress or just a really fancy red one 🙏 SNYWAYS THANK YOU ANON YOU TALK SO SCHOLARLY... claire explicitly states that she likes cute, pretty, and girly things.. so styling her is fairly easy because we have pretty much the same style 🤗

looking at the amount of blue she wears it is safe to assume her favorite color is blue but even though her theme color is a lighter blue than like noel's she seems to wear a lot of deep blue

+ in general she seems to gravitate towards wearing darker shades of colors in general

like this red dress

shes so pretty.......... anyways

but i don't think that means she wouldn't wear lighter colors because she occasionally does

example ( + this dress is so cute.. i would wear it she looks so gorgeous)

she might also like touches of pink to her outfits even though she normally wears blue based off of the outfit she wears when she was younger

so like maybe a pink sash or pink bows added to a blue outfit

she wears a whole lot of dresses and she seems to love them a lot more than any other clothing garment so i think she would just mostly wear dresses

+ not sure if this is on purpose but a lot of the dresses she wears tend to fall pretty low on her chest (whether it be like a square neckline or just a strapless dress she seems to wear those the most)

AND ALSO she has a pretty high tolerance to cold so i think her wearing dresses in every season even winter fits her character

she also doesn't wear many patterns i think she prefers solid colors + some sort of add ons to her clothes like ruffles or frills (are those the same thing.. idk) or fake flowers

however she does wear polka dots here so maybe she'd like simpler patterns (also she looks so good here i love you claire)

+ she'd probably like flower patterns a lot (there is a difference between floral and flower by the way and i think she'd like flower better because normally flower patterns are like cute drawn cartoony ones and floral can be pretty but it's normally like.. grandma clothes idk how else to describe it but yeah)

she's also always wearing bows so i think she would buy clothes that have bows on them or use pieces of fabric to tie like a bow sash around her clothes

also still on the topic of accessories she seems to wear a lot of long gloves i think she would pair them with her outfits a lot

and she seems to like pearls too

pearls and gloves (also the pattern on the gloves is very pretty)

there's also that picture of claire as a mermaid and she's wearing a lot of pearls but it's a commission that iz made so i don't think i'm allowed to use it but i saw it somewhere

she also wears a lot of ruffled cuffs like her necklace in her regular dress outfit and sometimes on her arms + ankles

+ (last accessory one i promise) she likes to wear a lot of stuff in her hair so i think she would really like buying cute hair accessories with like flowers and ruffles and bows

ALSO when she wears sleeves they are either puffy (her regular dress in the game) or they have like ruffles at the end (for example her green birthday outfit)

ok i have to talk about this one because i think this is like the only outfit i've ever seen claire wear that would actually reinforce against the cold

she doesn't seem to get cold easily so i think in general she wouldn't wear many coats but when she does i think she'd like a lot of fluff or whatever it's called when a jacket has those soft fluffy accents

and she'd definitely wear gloves when it's cold.. she always wears gloves

even though this outfit is specifically russian inspired because it was for the russian translation of the game i think she'd like those fur russian hats (i think they're called a ushanka but feel free to correct me if i'm wrong) because they're cute

so in general if i were styling her i'd probably give her:

a lot of dresses with deeper colors and maybe a few simple patterns like flower ones

ruffle details on dresses

for dresses with sleeves they should have like ruffles at the end or just be puffy overall

shorter, lighter colored dresses for warm weather (like the white dress she wears with the bow straps) that are probably strapless or have straps

coats with fur accents/trim or just fur coats for winter along with fur russian hats + gloves for colder weather (although i don't think she'd need much)

LOTS of bows and bow accessories that she can wear with her outfits

flower accessories too

pairs of long elegant gloves

ruffled cuffs for like a necklace or to put on her arms/legs

maybe for more casual occasions she'd like long ruffled skirts and like a regular blouse? but she doesn't wear much other than dresses

UJM it sort of depends on if youre asking which one i would wear personally vs which one is my favorite like.. in the context.. so i will answer both 😊

the one that is my favorite like.. that id wear.. is probably noel's because its soooo pretty with the flowers and pretty color scheme and everything.... BUT SIRIUS' IS A CLOSE SECOND ITS SO PRETTY AND ELEGANT

i think this one is an unexpected answer from me becuase im number one ahse hater but the one i think like.. best suits the context and slos the coolest one is ashe's because ITS SO COOL........ THE COLORS FIT BOTH ASHE AND CHARLIE AND THE GLOVE PATTERN AND COLOR SCHEME AND EVERYTHING WORKS REALLY WELL TOGETHER it might be the best oen inm y opinion... ashe fashion fun dress pretty wonderful amazing perfect gorgeous beautiful?

wow!!!!!!!!! i never expected this from you guy0509 you never talk about ashe (also contains some spoilers probably)

ashe's style is a little confusing to me but i will try my best to pinpoint it 🤔

his regular outfit being a changshan makes me think he'd wear chinese clothing (or clothing with chinese elements like the mandarin collar)

here is his regular outfit

the colors stand out to me a lot because that sort of blue/green/tealish color thats like muted and darker is a color he wears a lot and i actually have seen some chinese clothing that's specifically this color, it's probably because it matches his hair though

this image is super low quality BUT the colors are a little similar to ashe's outfit so i think that's cool!! but yeah the color's not super common (most chinese clothing i see is either red or a deep blue) but it's not super rare either i think (take my opinion with a grain of salt because i'm not super connected with chinese culture but yeah i am half chinese)

also his bow color matches the accent color on the changshan so to me that makes his color palette very consistent!! however regarding other elements i'm not super sure BUT the mandarin collar on the changshan along with other art makes me think he likes to keep his neck covered a little?

for example in this picture the collar of the shirt is really high but also this picture confuses me a little because the colors don't go with what ashe normally wears since it's a really light shade of blue.. but this is probably more of a casual outfit

but i wanna circle back to the chinese fashion thing a part of me wonders why ashe likes chinese fashion specifically so much considering he's supposed to be a traveler?? like there are a lot of other cultures he could pull from

it might be the neck thing or something like that because mandarin collars do typically cover up your neck and he's also wearing a black turtleneck under his regular outfit (which also covers his neck) or it could be another thing that hasn't been revealed about his character yet like maybe he's been to china a lot or something.. i'm not sure

another idea why he might be so drawn to chinese culture is because it's more community-oriented than culture in the west?? it's difficult to explain but like in the us people consider themselves more independent from their family while in china (and in a lot of the east overall i'm pretty sure) it's more like you're just a member of the unit of your family and ashe is pretty big on family so it would make sense to me but this is a style analysis not a character analysis so

also i believe this is a cheongsam (i'm like 90% sure) and it looks very nice on him and even though the picture is sort of black and white you can tell the color of it is sort of faded and dark so i'm just going to assume it's similar to the color of his changshan that he wears for his regular outfit

anyways here is his outfit in the past and he seems to like popped collars (another ashe and noel parallel??? /j) so along with the mandarin collar he might like to wear a lot of interesting collar shapes

also he seems to like deeper shades of colors rather than lighter ones because he's still wearing a deep color here it's just regular blue instead of teal but also it might just be his school uniform i don't remember much about his backstory

AND ALSO i wanna bring attention to the bows they are so cute!! but in his past he seems to only wear black bows while in the present he normally wears a bright lime greenish bow which i think is interesting and it's probably because of the way his personality shifted due to his backstory and all i think he changed his bow color to be a brighter color to seem more like a cheerful and friendly person maybe? like to give off the type of energy he wished he had in order to prevent what happened

speaking of the bows i have to talk about this because even though this is in the present his bow is black!! and hes a doctor!! this just makes me a little sad because when he was younger he wanted to be a doctor and this outfit is obviously like... i dont know how to describe it maybe like a "what if" scenario for him if that never happened to his family?? but the thing is HE DIDNT EVEN PICK THIS OUT THE PHOTOBOOTH DEMON GUY DID SO HE DIDNT EVEN DO THIS ON PURPOSE this mustve made him feel sad inside

and also the popped collar returns along with colors that are not bright at all so ❗ consistency

theres also the school au (?) outfit which is similar to what he wore in the past but it's more consistent with his current color tastes (the faded blue/green/teal thing) and he's wearing his bright colored bow

this is also very similar to noel's regular outfit with the popped collar and button up jacket which is interesting

i'm pretty sure this is his bonus stage outfit you can't really see much of the details 😢 but again the colors are consistent!! its just more greenish but that makes sense since that's his theme color and iz probably wanted to emphasize that

i'm pretty sure this is his halloween outfit (?) so again the colors and the popped collar!! his bow is interesting to me because it's more of a darker color and not the one he usually wears but it does match with his outfit so that's probably why

speaking of his outfit i think the accent is pretty much the same color as the accent on his changshan so he definitely likes that color a lot too but more as a secondary color rather than the color of one of his garments

i think it's interesting that he's wearing a big bow with a blue rose it makes me think of noel and claire 🧐 it's probably just a coincidence because the blue does go with his outfit but still green and blue are definitely his colors

the gems on his accessories makes me think that maybe he'd like to attach jewels onto like his hair bow or something like that??

this isn't one of his like main outfits but i think he looks a little cute.. also it's interesting that he still chose to wear that jacket when it's clearly hot outside at this time (and i think they're going swimming??) so going along with the neck thing too he probably prefers to bring something so he can cover up where he can maybe??

also i forgot to mention this earlier but i think he likes sleeves that are a little bigger and longer than his arm (it's very prominent in his regular outfit but in other outfits too) and also he likes little cuffs at the ends of his sleeves

a little muddled but overall here is how i would style ashe:

definitely a lot of that blue/green/teal color, it matches his hair and also he wears it all the time

that gold/lime-ish color as an accent color

clothes with cool collars like the popped collars and also like mandarin collars + big, long sleeves with cool cuffs at the ends

some chinese clothes like the cheongsam.. and maybe a little paper umbrella to go with it

turtleneck sweaters and button up cardigans/jackets when it's cold

LOTS AND LOTS of bows!! especially bright colored ones and maybe throw a few black ones in there just in case

perhaps some cute little gems to attach to his bows or something like that?
