Hoppers (2026)

This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.

Hoppers has scenes depicting electricity traveling through wires, both on the inside and outside of the wires, including in the first shots of the film. There are some moments of screens or other displays having minor glitches. A couple of scenes cut very suddenly to far brighter lighting. In one late scene, there are stylized lasers and fireworks.

There is a lot of action taking place at high speeds in this film, including some brief scenes of flight.

Flashing Lights: 6/10. Motion Sickness: 4/10.

TRIGGER WARNING: Grief is central to a lot of this story. Some images of an animatronic may be disturbing to some audiences.

BRANDON'S REVIEW: Full of the level of technical artistry that we've come to expect from Pixar, this movie triumphs by giving us high stakes, genuine intrigue, a clear purpose for its existence, characters to cheer for, and an all-around satisfying family experience for all ages. Grade: A-.

Bridget's little sister! second born daughter of the late Queen of Hearts and her husband

her name is Gwendolyn!!! it's a Welsh name meaning "white ring" or "pure/blessed ring"

Bridget's inferiority complex was sparked by the people of Wonderland idolising Gwendolyn since her birth

to Gwen, Bridget is the SUN though, there's nothing she loves more than her sister

she never went to Merlin Academy, but if she did, she would've immediately clicked with Meadow and Fay

when Bridget took over Wonderland, Gwen fled to their late father's old home in the Kingdom of Spades and dawned the title of the White Queen

she fell in love with one of her knights, and they had their first daughter, Lily (fc: Ella Purnell)

they had their second child, Wren (fc: Louis Hynes), a few years later around the same time that Red was born

adores Bridget's children when she finally reconciles with her sister :,)

Piper Curda as Anastasia Tremaine (Cinderella)

Lady Tremaine's youngest daughter, Drizella's younger sister, Ella's step-sister

more of a complacent witness instead of an active participant in Ella's abuse (bc of the hc that the Disney movies are essentially Auradon's propaganda depictions of Descendants history)

Anastasia would be friendly to Ella at school (outside of Drizella's sight), but try to ignore her at home

tentative friends with Maleficent through Drizella

since Morgie trails behind Maleficent, Anastasia ends up being acquaintances with him

the Baker is Austin North, you're welcome Jasmine x Logan nation

bc King Adam/Beast SUCKS, the Baker and Anastasia both got sent to the Isle because guilty by association

the Baker never blamed her

however he avoids Lady Tremaine like the plague

they have Anthony (fc: Matthew Sato) around the same time as Uma

Dizzy comes over to their section of the Tremaine Isle house when she needs to get away from her mother and grandmother

once the barrier comes down, Ella really wanted to connect with Anastasia but felt insecure. she worried Anastasia grew resentful over those years trapped on the Isle and blamed her for her banishment

so she gives her some space, some time

it isn't until Chloe is enrolled at Auradon Prep that Ella decides the time is right to reach out to her

and Anastasia wants to feel resentful, because why didn't she try once she was free? but she can't be mad, not really, not after those years of sitting idly by while her sister tormented Ella

they reconnect (partially with the Baker's help), and it's hard, but worth it in the end

Lady Tremaine's eldest daughter, Anastasia's older sister, and Ella's step-sister

Maleficent's her best friend but also they can't stand each other highkey

she almost got third degree burns when she tried to hit on Hades when he and Maleficent were "off again"

failed miserably at trying to get with Hook. he flirted back for a while bc that who he is, but he was noooot with it

tried to flirt with Morgie too but she kinda just broke him (he was NOT on the same page)

when they were sent to the Isle, Lady Tremaine went in full force with making Drizella her "mini me" because she lost her grip on Anastasia (not that Drizella minded, she was always the favourite daughter)

Lady Tremaine set her up with Hans, determined that anyone else would be below her family

they never married or lasted for long, but it resulted in Dizzy

probably barely raises Dizzy </3 Lady Tremaine is left to take care of her most of the time and for all her many, many faults, she's a better grandmother than she was a mother

Ella extended the same courtesy to Drizella as she did Anastasia, to reconcile. she never heard from Drizella

Sofia Wylie as Morgana (The Little Mermaid II)

the little sister of Ursula and Uliana! daughter of Poseidon

also half-sister of Triton bc I like that

her favourite sibling is Uliana, she was the only one of her siblings who actually treated her like her own person and not just a lesser version of Ursula

mostly because Uliana knew what that felt like

Morgana saw a side of Uliana that she learned to lock away from a young age. Uli and Morgana actually got to be kids when they were with each other

has the least beef with good ol' dad but still was wrecked for a long time that he didn't want any of them

never went to Merlin Academy, stuck it out with Uliana for a while after she graduated (or got expelled)

she has a daughter around Red's age, Marah (fc: Chandler Kinney)

she's not the best mother, she has her flaws and isn't always the best to Marah, but she genuinely loves her

she doesn't know what being a good mother looks like. she does the opposite of what her mother did for them, but it's just an opposite extreme

when Marah ends up at Auradon Prep, she immediately tells her mom there's a boy there that says he's the son of Poseidon (this being the one, the only, Percy Jackson)

the sea sisters are in the trenches about this, obviously. this is the first sibling they've heard of who has a semi-present Poseidon around. even Triton only received divine gifts in lieu of parenting

but here's a Poseidon that is somewhat around to actually raise his son? he cites Percy's mother as the only true love of his life?

but, of course, upon finding out he has sister, Percy is adamant about meeting them

and they feel a lot a little weird about being like 30+ years older than them. I mean, their CHILDREN are older than him

so they use some sea magic to make an illusion that they're their younger selves while they're around him (Sierra McClain as Ursula, and Dara Reneé ofc as Uliana)
