Can’t wait for Animal Crossing: New Horizons to come out next week? Here’s something to scratch your Animal Crossing itch! It’s our new video, Let’s Make an Animal Crossing Game! 

Last time around we pitched a hypothetical Pokemon game for 30 minutes, and this time it’s Animal Crossing’s turn! Featuring more original artwork from our returning artist, Juliana Chen!

My favorite character from the pitch is this Moth girl, who runs the new “Greenhouse” area of the Museum that lets you donate different types of plant life! She knows Blathers is afraid of bugs, so she wears glasses and pretends to be an owl so that she doesn’t freak him out.

What should her name be?

Jello pitches a hypothetical Pokemon game to anyone who will listen to him for thirty minutes. I'd probably pick the Water Version of this game. The teapot elephant (Kettelephant) is the cutest one, obviously. Featuring beautiful artwork from @julianachen!  Firework dragon is pretty cool too though. 

We came up with a bunch of Gym Leaders based on mechanics instead of Pokemon Types. Some of my favorites include:

Friendship Gym Leader who is a big biker. Only uses pokemon who evolve via Friendship affinity level.

Pop Idol “Sound”-themed Gym Leader. Only uses sound-themed Pokemon.

Some nefarious members of Team Bad Guy, a mafia-themed antagonist group. The Kricketune in the violin case is a nice touch.

Here’s the main rival. My first reaction to seeing him was “Oh MAN. If this guy was real my Tumblr dash would be nonstop Jerk Fanart for like two weeks.”
