forgot to talk about this here but me and my partner @malastrum made a game for the 16th Pirate Jam!! our FIRST EVER game, in our FIRST EVER jam.

What is GUNKFIRE?
seli is a shapeshifting extraterrestrial slime, capable of manipulating and controlling machinery. this mostly involves GUNS!! he and his human pal rex the galaxy raider make their living by taking down alien outposts for resources. think helldivers, but stupid.
Our experience of our first ever game jam:
we only had 2 weeks to make our game, to the theme of "You Are The Weapon" so the moment we got the green flag we got to what we were making. we really wanted to do something silly, so that we wouldn't have to spend too much time on aesthetics and story. so we got to a game idea of where you have to become a weapon to progress the level. so... funny blob guy!
the jam for us had the right level of stress. a pressure to work and do well, but not too much so we didn't feel distressed or burnt out. we worked really well to our personal deadlines!!
despite the simplicity of the game and its bugs, i am still super proud of what we got done. maybe one day we will turn GUNKFIRE into a full game! but i had a lot of fun and i hope you enjoy trying out our little demo. ^^

Hey y'all! Bit of an update...
We tried something new! Turns out doing new things can be chaotic and weird and strange and weird! Anyways, while we missed the Game Jam due to unforeseen issues (and noob mistakes for people new to making organized projects on a very short deadline lol) we're putting it out anyways! Meet HEXAHETRONIC, our new game! Our proof of concept is on itch (hopefully it runs I hope it runs) and music is out here on YouTube and on Bandcamp! This will be something we chip away at during development of [OXALIS], as well as our first original project once that's done! Hope you're interested! -💜birbohex💜
