Up She Rises
Way-hey and up she rises Way-hey and up she rises Way-hey and up she rises Early in the morning...
It had been at least a week since leaving port and Estella was firmly certain that she did not like ships. While the fresh salt air and the roar of the waves were exciting, it all rather dulled after the first few days, especially when one was crammed belowdecks with the provisions. She hadn't seen the sun in days, only daring to venture out in the dead watches of the night to stretch her legs and breathe a bit.
Pirates, after all, were not known to take kindly to women on board, let alone a stowaway.
She tried to be a little bit useful, mostly keeping the rats out of the supplies. It wouldn't help her case much if she were to be discovered, as she fully expected to be at nearly any moment. Even learning the crew's schedule and habits was of little use. All it would take was one man in the wrong place at the wrong time...and she was doomed.
