in poland there’s no sex education, no easy access to contraception and morning after pills, abortion is now illegal, many ministers say that women exist only to bear children. yes woman, you can live here, but only as an incubator.

what’s happening in poland?

i think its SO important to spread this information around so that everyone becomes aware of the nightmare that polish women are facing this very moment.

a couple days ago, poland’s top court has ruled that aboritions are unconstitutional and put an almost total ban on abortions. (poland were already one of the strictest in europe and now its just got worse)

aboritons now will only be available for rape/incest or when the mother’s health is at risk

this law was passed/changed, during an ongoing pandemic (poland’s cases have been skyrocketing in the past couple weeks), passed by a court without a parlimentary/public debate, and by a court which majority of the court is the ruling party (also the chief justice is a close friend of Jarosław Kaczyński, which is the leader of the PiS party)

the now-governing party, PIS, espeically Jarosław Kaczyński as I mentioned above, said that the law needed to be tighter to save lives of childern 

the new abortion law now prohibits abortions due to any fatal abnormalities or incurable illnesses of the child. this means that women will now BE FORCED to carry out pregnancies that they know are not viable.

the protestors out in poland are more of the younger generation, just like you see here in the united states. alongside these brave young women are also men who are stepping into action against the government.

all across the country in poland, whether it is in small or large cities, protestors are rallying up against the government and protesting the hell out of this new law

traditionally catholic values and the churches and the bishops have been pressuring the government to make these laws stricter; i dont know about you but i believe that the church HAS NO ROOM to dictate or pursuade the government into passing laws such as this one

this is important issue that everyone should know about, especially now with the new supreme court justice being instated in the united states. my heart and support go out to the women in poland; you are not alone, we hear you, we see you, we support you. you are NOT alone in this.

i truly cannot believe what’s happening in poland right now, the polish government just passed a law ruling that all abortions are legal. this is a reality so many women in poland now have to live with, every city is rising with protests filled with women and men, wish i could be there to protest with you. as a women you should have the right to do what you want with your body. my body my choice. my heart goes out to all of you, stay safe.
