First dead kid at Camp Rattlesnake Island.
(rattlesnake island is a real place in the lake I grew up on-- the island boasts a creepy dilapidated pyramid from a mini golf course built by a Lebanese i think man who was then deported from canada THE STORY IS MUCH MORE CRAZY THERE ARE HOSTAGES INVOLVED AND PONY RIDES (he also built a LURVE MOTEL in Peachland that always looked like Prince Erics castle to me when I was a kid since it was painted red and white, but now it is boring beige stucco, SO SAD) The island is NOT a misnomer, and actually has a bunch of rattlesnakes on it, and is also the purported entrance to Ogopogos cave, so honestly, this show is writing itself hahahaha)
Peachland just celebrated it's 100th anniversary last year so hey, I got lots to work with!
