It doesn't get worse then that Ouch! #TigerDerTechBase at @DigitaleOberpfalz went last night. It didn't go well. We tried to shoot the moon in 3 min. Going to focus on locking it down. Get the right frame, wink wink #PitchAnything. #Cocktails #CommonwealthCocktails #QuickPost #Cocktail #Drinks
Relaxing when ever you can.
Once a month I get a massage and while I'm getting my massage I listen to entrepreneur audio books. Best combination ever! Today's book Pitch Anything by Oren Klaff! www.getmad2day.com
Video podcasts of interviews with authors are usually bad sales pitches. This is a pretty good one. Oren Klaff wrote Pitch Anything. I read this book last June and I think it is a master class in startup sales presentations. If you use Ross' Predictable Revenue, Rackham's SPIN Selling or Dixon & Adamson's The Challenger Sale, then you will know what to do with Pitch Anything.
Most sellers don't have to know most of what Oren uses in his pitches. Established sales teams already have a pitch that "works" and transactional sales floors typically don't need to get past a buyer's fear response to something new: pork bellies and ads are bacon and banners. They've been around forever. But if you sell "the new new thing," Klaff's frame is useful.
My career is focused on selling for startups, so I spend every day selling something the market doesn't know and buyers think is new. If you practice frame control, you will start selling "the new, new thing" more masterfully. That's worth the price of the book.
