@pittorei asked - " i hate to admit this but i think i trip on a paint brush again. i need my body guard help me pleaseeee ! "
“Rafayel…” she sighed into her phone, glancing at her watch. He was ridiculous, but there was true concern rippling through her too. Maybe he was just playing it up, like usual, but what if he wasn’t? She always worried that one day he’d truly need her and that would be the day she didn’t take him seriously.
“I’ll be there shortly,” she promised. “Did you hurt an ankle or a wrist this time?” Or was this just an excuse to draw her to his home? She wished he’d just ask her to come over without the dramatics, but knew he couldn’t help himself.
“You’re a mess, you know that?” she added with a faint smile as she headed for where she’d parked her bike.

The wind had been blowing in an odd direction all evening. It brought with it that feeling like the entire world was on the cusp of a storm. But there was no rain, no thunder, no lightning. Just that ceaseless gale that battered against every window.
Amid the heavy gusts of wind, however, there came a lighter rapping. An alert beeped and the realization came that there was, somehow, someone at his door. A gift from the freak storm.
Cautiously, Caleb approached the entrance hallway. As he began to speak, his voice was projected on the outside as if through a speaker. "You are a long way from home, whoever you are, and you're going to have to find a way back there. You're in a restricted space."
“Why are you sneaking around here like that?”
She felt her entire body jolt and before she could stop it a gasp reflecting the fright he had given her. She immediately stood turning on her heels to face Rafayel. “I wasn’t sneaking.” She said her arms snapping to cross over her chest. Her golden eyes shifted to the side so not to look him in the eye. “I was discreetly entering.”
A faint smile perked on her gentle features as Kiri’s eyes returned to make contact. “Don’t make it sound like I was conducting a heist.. You were the one appearing out of nowhere.” She attempted to deflect back to the male. Her own tone more playful than malicious.
Her head tilted black strands of fair falling to shape her face, her expression as curious as a kitten with a toy. “I should be asking you the same thing, why are you out here lurking about and sneaking up on innocent people.” She gave a sharp nod fueled with pride, as if she had come up with the comeback of the century.
❝ For your birthday I wanted to give you something that was both funny and charming, but then I remembered you already have me in your life. ❞

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Elizabeth placed both her hands on his cheeks and pressed, making his lips resemble a fish's. Sometimes he thought he was so hilarious, but she was ready to throw him back into the sea when he cracked jokes like that. ❝⠀⠀You're only funny when you're not trying to be . And as far as charming goes , I think that's up for debate .⠀⠀❞ A little shake, and then she released his poor, pretty face and crossed her arms over her chest. ❝⠀⠀I'm hoping that dumb crack isn't the only thing I get on my birthday . And if you say one word about crabs today , I'm introducing you to the cat that hangs out in my garden .⠀⠀❞ There was a slight smile peeking through the cross expression Elli was wearing.

" cutieeeeeeee ! i need your help ! i don't think i'm gonna survive end of the week. pleaseeee help me ! "
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Lost in thought while scrolling her Moments feed, the wavy-haired hunter was enjoying a nice day off. The breeze was balmy, and the air smelled of heat. Early June was beautifully windy and warm, easing her into a trance-like sense of calm. Surrounded by the flowers in her garden, she sat, one leg crossed over the other. Birds chirped, further assuring her that the world still turned, and every threat was far away for the time being. Her phone was set on the small table as lids fell shut. For once, Elli's mind was clear, free of the ever-present guilt and terror that she buried so far beneath the surface. That was until she heard the back door open and the sound that came thereafter.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Whining in such a familiar cadence was both endearing and grating. Whenever something so dramatic was aimed her way, Elizabeth anticipated annoyance. Rafayel was a pro at getting under her skin and testing her patience. Very slowly, she turned toward him, trying her hardest not to look preemptively irritable. ❝⠀⠀What is it this time , Fishie ?⠀⠀❞ A light red brow quirked, wondering what could be so pressing that he wouldn't be able to last the week. It couldn't be food again… Unless he was in the mood to raid her fridge or try to coax her out for seafood. The artist was notorious for doing whatever he wanted whenever, without regard for others' feelings or plans. If she was busy, now she wasn't.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Her index finger rose to stop him from answering her just yet. ❝⠀⠀You know a certain very special day is coming up , right ? You wouldn't possibly try anything this close to it , would you ?⠀⠀❞ A smirk curled one side of her mouth, gloss shimmering like the sun on the sea.
@pittorei : " i knew i shouldn't have come here , i never tasted anything so foul. want to go get seafood instead cutie ? " ( for sera ! c:
A little pout on her face, 𝔖𝔢𝔯𝔞𝔭𝔥𝔦𝔫𝔞 scrolled on her phone, the restaurants profile on the moments app opened. "I don't get it, they have such good recommendations..." People kept posting about how good it was and the rating was at 4.6/5 stars; there were even a bunch of photos. Compared to what they got, though... "Maybe we came on a bad day or something."
Rafayel was right, the food was... well, she wouldn't call it foul, but it was definitely unexpectedly bad. With a sigh, she turned off the screen and nodded. "Yeah, let's just go. Do you know a place?"
Once outside, she pulled up her phone again and searched for nearby places that served seafood. Leaning closer, she showed him the map. "There's this place just two streets away and two other ones at the seafront."
