Okay. Someone doesn’t like the classics. // @pittprodigy
"That's not true," Mel is quick to defend, chin pushing back in surprise. "I like plenty of movies that could be considered classics. There's It Happened on Fifth Avenue, which we watch every year around Christmas time." Although, unlike Elf, it's not a holiday movie that gets year-round playtime. "And there's Singing in the Rain, Jaws, The Princess Bride, Back to the Future, and When Harry Met Sally." She rattles off, picking up speed.
Mel could easily list off a dozen more movies, especially romantic comedies. She loves the tearful, heartfelt 'I love you's, the toe curling sweet first kisses, and waits, no matter how often she's watched a particular movie, with a bated breath as the characters run to each other to reunite at the end of the movie.
"But When You Were Sleeping," Mel shakes her head. "I can never make sense of that one. And I know romantic comedies as genre have some oddities, but isn't it creepy?"
