thoughts on the muppets on abc (the 2015 show)?
ive only seen a few episodes, and some of the jokes are really funny but its not because theyre written funny. its more of a "what the hell am i watching" absurdist kind of funny. like how in one of the episodes you see fozzie bear experience a microaggression ("oh of course he likes the salmon"). or when kermit said he tried to go to medical school but everyone there wanted to dissect him. it's got a more...cynical (?) i guess tone to it but it still manages to capture the spirit of the characters well so its fine. i wish people talked about it more tho!
