Twitch rivals commentators watching Foolish and Roier talking about hairy asses in spanish. Thank you QSMP
Just learned about the r/place pixel war on reddit (basically, every 5 minutes you can put one pixel on a massive picture and people are coordinating to create small pictures)
And we french people being, well, french — we went to WAR. Because if one thing was proved with our Twitch caritative events, it's the fact french viewers can and will rally full force. So what was a bunch of teeny tiny images created from all around the world, became a french patriotic act.
The french flag took the whole bottom left of the screen.
Then we added Thomas Pesquet, Zinedine Zidane, croissant, the Louvres, the Lofi Girl and a bunch more of Very French Things
The streamer Wubby accused us of using bots: we replied by writing "human" on the spot he hoped to use to create his portrait.
The Zevent flag stood proud in the middle, a not subtle reminder we the french own the record for biggest Twitch charity event in the world.
We put baguettes on every picture we could find — because yeah, did someone forget we're french?
The spanish side of Twitch kept the accusation of us using bots and decided to reply by using bots themselves and suddenly all went pikachu face when they got banned for using bots — all the while still failing at overpowering us.
Like yeah, everybody keeps acting surprised at the french power; but they don't seem to realize than only from the 6 channels I follow right now, there are 600k to 700k viewers. Who are all acting together like a small army. Just because acting petty and obstinate IS our way of life since centuries.
Fear the french, for we are determined
"After 29 years of existence, I've understood that being french, it's being hated by the entire world, but not giving a fuck. #pixelwar"
Idk if anyone is following the r/place happening but we had a pjo tile!!!
It just cracks me up so much how people seems to think the "Frenchs surrender" joke is real.
It appears people think this joke means that the French Army surrended during the German's attack while in reality they continued fighting (100 000 soldiers died in the meantime between) until the Biggest Traitor Ever (Aka Pétain) who was put in power, precisely to hold the line like the army did under his command during Verdun battle, decided he prefered to make friend with Germany cause you know he was freaking far-right, antisemitic and worried about the communists in France and URSS in general. So that man who was supposed to continue fighting freaking SIGNED an armistice with Nazi Germany.
A part of the French Population did collaborate afterwards with Germany I'm not denying that at all. I'm just saying the French population or army never surrendered, we got betrayed by Pétain and the army obeyed.
So when streamers like xQc says "please surrender a part of your territory" when the territory was ours from the beginning, when xQc was an agressor, when Spanish streamers were so salty they could have cried an ocean, man, don't be surprised if the answer of the French streamers was a resounding no.
TLDR: We do not in fact surrender and the internet is pickachu faced learning that
I thought the French streamers had took over space over others drawings but turns out they took such a huge part cause it was new blank territory. The French Twitch community is huge, people always gathering together to pull out incredible deeds like the ZEvent (the world record caricative event on Twitch). In these times of uncertainty in France and potential division seeing all the streamers and their viewers pulling that patriotic stunt is so reassuring for France's foreseeable future.
I guess love wins over hate even on Twitch.
There is a fucking "carte vitale" 😭 ( DNI if you don't know what it is)
Reddit r/Place : la France a pris d’assaut le côté droit de la Pixel War et se déchaîne à gauche
