Just learned about the r/place pixel war on reddit (basically, every 5 minutes you can put one pixel on a massive picture and people are coordinating to create small pictures)
And we french people being, well, french — we went to WAR. Because if one thing was proved with our Twitch caritative events, it's the fact french viewers can and will rally full force. So what was a bunch of teeny tiny images created from all around the world, became a french patriotic act.
The french flag took the whole bottom left of the screen.
Then we added Thomas Pesquet, Zinedine Zidane, croissant, the Louvres, the Lofi Girl and a bunch more of Very French Things
The streamer Wubby accused us of using bots: we replied by writing "human" on the spot he hoped to use to create his portrait.
The Zevent flag stood proud in the middle, a not subtle reminder we the french own the record for biggest Twitch charity event in the world.
We put baguettes on every picture we could find — because yeah, did someone forget we're french?
The spanish side of Twitch kept the accusation of us using bots and decided to reply by using bots themselves and suddenly all went pikachu face when they got banned for using bots — all the while still failing at overpowering us.
Like yeah, everybody keeps acting surprised at the french power; but they don't seem to realize than only from the 6 channels I follow right now, there are 600k to 700k viewers. Who are all acting together like a small army. Just because acting petty and obstinate IS our way of life since centuries.
Fear the french, for we are determined
"After 29 years of existence, I've understood that being french, it's being hated by the entire world, but not giving a fuck. #pixelwar"
