It’s Still #pridemonth and I’m PROUD to be a part of the #pixiedustedwithpride collective and share my story and connection with Yzma! 🧚‍♀️ I feel I was born an entertainer but I didn’t feel like a star because I was dulling my own light. The second I was able to come out and be myself I wanted to do so as loudly as possible! Right after I came out in college, I discovered drag as a part of a competition on campus ... and lost, but my real prize was a new way to express myself and be as over the top as possible! Villain’s most of the time are the outcasts sick of being in the shadows and are ready to be heard! Yzma is no exception she is unapologetic, sassy, and knows what she wants. When I perform I try to channel that energy, my inner diva! I’ve always been inspired by not only the characters of these villains but also by the divas who voice them, Eartha Kitt was strong, outspoken, and undeniably talented! That’s the type of Diva FiFi DuBois was created to be!
