PJ Masks Teen AU & Headcanon Project
I’ve decided to start sharing my PJ Masks Teen AU and personal headcanons for the characters!
In this AU, the PJ Masks characters are older teenagers while still keeping many aspects of their canon personalities, powers, and relationships. I’ve been expanding their backgrounds, interests, families, friendships, fears, goals, and more to explore what they might be like as they grow up.
Over the next several posts, I’ll be sharing detailed character profiles for members of the PJ Masks cast, including both heroes and villains. Each post will focus on one character at a time so everything is easier to read and enjoy.

Full Name: Connor Martínez
Nationality: Mexican-American
Father: Calixto Martínez (43)
Mother: Clara Martínez (41)
Connor grew up in a large Mexican-American family. Living in a busy household taught him responsibility, teamwork, and how to care for younger children from an early age.
While Connor loves his family deeply, life at home can be stressful. Tension within the household has made him protective of his younger siblings and sensitive to conflict. As a result, Connor often feels responsible for keeping others safe and happy, sometimes taking on more responsibility than he should.
Despite the challenges he faces, Connor remains determined to support the people he loves and would do anything to protect his family.

Connor is known for being friendly, energetic, and approachable. He seems to know almost everyone and is often willing to help classmates whenever they need it. Teachers frequently note that he has great potential but struggles to stay focused.
Extracurricular Activities:
Connor loves music and listens to almost every genre. His playlists are often a chaotic mix of pop, rock, indie music, movie soundtracks, and songs recommended by friends.
* Learned much of his guitar playing through self-teaching.
* Often plays guitar when stressed or overwhelmed.
* Sometimes teaches simple songs to his younger siblings.
Connor’s signature ability. Allows him to run at incredible speeds, sometimes so fast that he becomes difficult to see. He can also transfer speed into objects, making them move faster.
A side effect of his speed powers. Connor can generate electricity while running and use it to power machines, recharge devices, and strengthen energy sources.
With the help of the PJ Power Crystal, Connor can run fast enough to travel between dimensions.
Enhanced hearing that allows him to hear sounds from far away and detect things others might miss.
Allows Connor to jump much higher and farther than an ordinary human.
Combines his speed and jumping abilities to create powerful leaps and quick reactions.
Allows Connor to create glowing energy stripes that can grab objects, restrain opponents, or provide support during missions.
Allows Connor to communicate with his spirit animal, Cat Stripe King
His tail can move and grab objects independently, making it useful during combat and everyday situations.
Allows Connor to launch glowing energy furballs as ranged attacks.
Connor can see much better in low-light environments, similar to a real cat.
His reaction time is faster than the average person, allowing him to dodge and respond to danger quickly.
Years of experience have improved Connor’s endurance, allowing him to use his powers for longer periods.
Better Control of Lightning Generation
Connor has learned to control and direct his electrical energy more effectively than before.
Stronger Super Cat Stripes
His energy stripes are stronger, more durable, and capable of handling heavier objects.
Connor has developed a stronger connection to his spirit animal, allowing him to temporarily see through its eyes and guide it more precisely during missions. (Alley Cat)
Connor admires Nick’s strength, independence, and protective nature. Though the two often approach problems differently, Connor sees someone who understands responsibility and hardship in ways few others do.
Although Connor originally viewed them as enemies, he gradually became more understanding toward them. Because he grew up surrounded by younger siblings, Connor often finds himself acting like an older brother around them and understand their language
Connor and Luna often clash due to their different personalities. While Luna frequently frustrates him, Connor slowly comes to understand her loneliness and desire for connection.
Connor initially finds Motsuki annoying because of her impulsive behavior and tendency to create chaos. However, as she grows and matures, he becomes more patient with her and develops a protective older-brother-like attitude.
Connor often disagrees with Romeo and becomes frustrated by his actions. However, as they get older, Connor begins recognizing Romeo’s loneliness and struggles, leading him to understand him better than before.
Speedy Twins (arch-enemies)
* Bites his nails when stressed.
* Interrupts people when excited.
* Has started countless hobbies but rarely finishes all of them.
* Tries to carry all the groceries in one trip.
* Cannot stand seeing someone left out.
* Invites people sitting alone to join him.
* Is surprisingly good with younger children.
* Keeps random objects he finds interesting.
* Makes cat puns far more often than he realizes.
* Amaya and Greg pretend to hate his cat puns, but secretly expect them. (Still can't stand them though)
* Trips over nothing at least once per night.
* Loves cheesy superhero cartoons.
* Gets jealous if someone else runs faster than him for even one second.
* The type to have a crush and immediately panic.
* Spends weeks overthinking every interaction.
* Very supportive of everyone else’s identities.
* His friends can usually tell he likes someone before he can.

Connor closely resembles his younger self, though older and taller. He has warm tan skin, bright blue eyes, and messy brown hair that is slightly longer in the front, often falling into his eyes.
He typically wears a white t-shirt, blue jeans, sneakers, and a blue hoodie tied around his waist. A pair of headphones is usually around his neck, and he carries a blue guitar pick with lighter blue flames gifted to him by Nickolas.
A bandage can often be found somewhere on him due to his active lifestyle and tendency to get minor scrapes.
Hero Appearance (Catboy):
As Catboy, Connor wears an upgraded blue suit that maintains his iconic cat-themed appearance while reflecting his growth as a hero.
* Visible messy brown hair.
* Cat ears on top of his head.
* A longer prehensile tail.
* Sharper blue stripes across the suit.
* The classic Catboy emblem on his chest.
* Retractable claws on both his hands and feet.
* Cat-like paw pads on his palms.
* A small amount of soft fur around the neck/collar area.
* An overall sleeker and more athletic design.
* Greg has attempted to touch Connor’s paw pads on multiple occasions.
