The Riordanverse Fandom: Oh, why, Rick, why can't we have any single characters who aren't part of the Hunt? Why does everybody get paired up? We don't even have one single main character or even mildly relevant side character who isn't – Apollo, waving from the corner: Oh, hi! Here I am! Your protagonist and only narrator for five whole books! An entire saga! And I happen to be perfectly single! Have been for many millennia! Just being a good older-brother figure to Meg, with absolutely no plans to find a true love in the future apart from my small flings! The Riordanverse Fandom: – paired up or dating or sworn to eternal maidenhood! Oh, the horror! Not a single one, I tell you! Why can't we have a single main character who is perfectly happy to be with just his friends? Why?
