Hello! I'm currently making a fan-made game for the book 1 of the Percy Jackson series, in celebration of its tv show adaptation announcement on Disney+ (yay!)

I'm using RPG Maker MV cause I want it to look like an RPG style. I was initially planning in making it in Unity 3D (because I had some experience) but the assets will be a pain to make, especially in 3D. So, I decided to make it into a 2D instead. I'm currently programming and making additional story to the game and I don't want to use the default assets in the program and want to use original ones but I never made any progress in my art skills and decided to ask someone or anyone out there who's willing to help in making these assets (such as character sprites, tilemaps, etc.)

But, I'm not planning to sell this game when it's finished (because I think it's unfair for Rick). I'm doing this just for fun and hopefully it will add to my experience in game making and will finally land me a job in game development and make my own games someday.

If I do find an artist, the only thing I can offer to them is, they can sell their assets (in any website) for themselves and I won't be receiving any money from them.

I kinda wanted to ask some donations to anyone at first but I decided against it because I wanted to make a prototype first for demo and I'm not sure I deserved it right now. Right now, I'm studying the battle mechanics and story flow of the game.

I've been a long time PJO fan and even a long time member of this fandom and I have always loved this series with all my heart. I've been dreaming of making a fanart or fanfic one day but never did because I kind of lack the skills to do it but it's also been my long time dream to be a game developer and I think this is only one of the few ways I can contribute to the fandom.

So yeah, I'm looking for a designer (for making character sprites and tilemaps) and also a music composer. I can't pay anyone but I hope anyone would be willing to contribute and have fun in making this game.

“Most Likely To” Percico Game Announcement!

On Saturday July 21 (this Saturday) we will have a Percico themed game for anyone to join! It goes from 1pm to 4pm Central Time and you do not have to be participating in the Percico Event in order to participate in this game. This is for everyone and it’s very simple to play.

First, follow this blog (@percicoevent) in order to see all the posts.

I’ll post a prompt, example: Who is most likely to squirt their drink from their nose while laughing?

To respond, you can reblog and add your response, or just comment on the post. You can simply name the character you think is most likely to, but it works better for the creative mind to explain why you think that character fits the prompt over the other. Maybe you can even add details in your response to set the scene better!

The point of this game is to inspire creativity and build community strength in the Percico fandom. If you are stuck with your creation for the Percico Event, or just feeling uninspired lately, this game will hopefully help you. Maybe you can even find new friends and/or new Percico shippers to follow!

If you have any ideas for Most Likely To prompts, send them in the ask box! It is a three hour long game so ideas would be much appreciated! I’ll credit every person who sends one in so if you wish to remain anonymous, send the prompt in anonymously.

So I just remembered I have a Nintendo 3DS and did y'all know there was a percy jackson game based on the movie?!? Well I totally forgot about it but it was the game that was plugged in, so I just played it and... let's just say it's not great but I laughed hard at some dialogue, so here's one I found funny, mostly how out of character it is.

Like holy shit, Chiron did not hold back his punches. And it was after Percy tries to explain that school is difficult for him. 😭😭 Poor Percy, lol.

A PjO/HoO Game

My best friend and me were bored and started to play a Percy Jackson/Heros of Olympus Game. One of us said a word and the other had to say a word which was fitting to it. Like: Persephone Hades Nico and so on... We played a bit and had a lot of things. Then my best Friend said: Hazel I replied: Pluto And she said: Mickey. First I was confused but then I laughed my butt off xxD

This is super nerdy but I think the PJO series could make an amazing version of Dungeons & Dragons.

First off we call it Demigods & Drakons because it fits the D&D name and gets to the point.

It wouldn't be hard to set up. The rules have already been set up by numerous other games and would have to be minimally altered to fit the PJO world. 

You still create your character

Race (Saytr, Human, Nymph, etc)

Gender and features

Use a D&D system to generate stats

You then choose a godly parent (Roman or Greek) and get a stat benefit based on your choice

Mars/Ares get boost to strength and toughness

Athena/Bellona get increased inteligence

Apollo gets increased healing

so on and so forth

You choose a specialization, something similar to a class, based off your parent

Apollo kids can be bards or healers

Hermes kids can be thieves 

Some specializations would be available to anyone

sorcerers to control the mist

any female could be a Hunter of Artemis

Basically you'd go around on quests and exploring and would do what demigods to best, try and keep from getting yourself killed by a giant horrible monster.
