Plants being speciffically weak to fire in rpgs will always bother me.
Like living wooden puppets I get., but live plants full of fluid are a different story and honestly handle fire better than animal flesh.

A New Witcher Story in Old Times
CD Projekt Red has released The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past, a new story expansion that takes players back into the world of Geralt years after the game's original launch. Rather than pushing the timeline forward, the DLC fits into an earlier period of Geralt's adventures, weaving a new narrative into the existing chronology of The Witcher 3.
The expansion explores events that occur before the game's ending and is designed to feel like another chapter alongside the base game's established quests. By placing the story within a familiar section of the timeline, the developers can revisit Geralt and the Northern Kingdoms without needing to define a canonical outcome for the multiple endings players may have experienced.
The release has generated excitement among long-time fans who never expected substantial new story content for a game that originally launched more than a decade ago. It also serves as another reminder of how enduring The Witcher 3 has remained within the RPG genre, continuing to attract players long after most games of its era stopped receiving major attention.
Thoughts:
There's something oddly fitting about returning to a game this old and finding a new story tucked into a space that always existed but was never explored. It feels less like a sequel and more like discovering an extra chapter that somehow got lost behind a bookshelf for ten years.
